In the battle for political cash, President Obama is finding himself in an unaccustomed place during the final months of the 2012 campaign: he is losing.
Mitt Romney and the Republican National Committee easily outraised the formidable Obama money machine for the second month in a row. A nonstop schedule of high-dollar events around the country brought in $106 million during June to Mr. Obamas $71 million, giving him and his party four times the cash on hand that it had just three months ago.

Obama trailing fundraising by $35 million probably means it's twice as much, and that the spigot is drying up. The only groups that still solidly back B. Hussein are black women (try getting a dollar from them!) and homosexuals (a reliable funding source, but with them being only 0.3% of the U.S. population, not very many of them).
I agree with Dr. Limbaugh about the direction of the Romney campaign- he needs to make this election about Obama, using the three legged stool- less government, strong defense, and pro-family social policies. That said, we could nominate a feces-throwing howler monkey for President and he could beat Obama this term. However, if Romney becomes aggressive in his campaigning, he could turn the comfortable victory into a bloodbath for the Democrats, changing the political landscape the same way Roosevelt's 1932 election changed the landscape for the Democrats.
Romney's not my first choice, nor even my second nor third. However, he's the only candidate that can defeat Obama. Choosing Romney over Obama is like choosing a slow-acting flesh-eating bacteria over the Bubonic Plague. You can always deal with the bacteria later, but before you do that you have to get rid of the Black Death. By getting Tea Party Conservatives elected in massive numbers, that'll ensure Romney gets pulled right once he's elected President.
Obama still has nore money on hand than Romney.
No mention of the economy eh?
I heard a little of Rush's "don't bother with the economy--nobody cares" proposal.
Huh? If true that nobody cares, or that a majority of people are happy with this neo-depression, then the election is moot anyhow.
But if not (and the polls clearly show the Economy @ #1 concern) then ceding the Economy to Obama will let them turn it into a positive. If Romney doesn't cast the economy as bad, Obama will cast it as fantastic....and he's got the magic numbers mill to back up his folly.
Anyone who believes this should be institutionalized.
Romney has much, much more money than Obama. Obama’s stash is EMPTY.
It’s not a shopping spree. I mean, the best financed campaigns buy the most minutes of mind-numbingly stupid TV advertisements. Some of those minutes turn people off. Dollars not well spent.
It is still about the ECONOMY, one way or another.
There's no chance in hell the Republican side will outspend the Democrats' interests in November.
Plus also Obama has lost just about everyone who would support him. He is NOW TOAST.

You nailed it .
Another Obama media scam .
Dems have way more money but they are hiding it to peddle the rich guy is buying the election theme
"The lie needs to be put to the very idea that President Obama might be outspent during the 2012 election. Nobody knows how much the candidates and campaign will raise in the weeks ahead, but, so far, the numbers are pretty clear. To date, the Democratic National Committee, the Obama campaign and Obama super PACs have raised $471,400,000. This does not include at least $400 million that the labor unions have pledged to spend on Obamas behalf. The Romney campaign, Republican National Committee and Romney super PACs have raised $264,223,126 and much of that was spent during the Republican primary contest.
Anyway, there is a myth in American politics today that Obama will be outspent by Mitt Romney. Maybe that myth exists because Democrats, including Carter Eskew and President Obama, say it is so. It must be a fundraising tactic to scare contributors into giving, because the numbers suggest something completely different.
If Im wrong about these numbers, I wish that Carter, President Obama or other readers would let me know. Lets not quibble over groups like the NRA or the Sierra Club. But any honest analysis of the funding at the top of the ticket confirms that Obama has a huge advantage. As more reliable information is confirmed, I will pass it along. In the meantime I think that the Obama campaigns complaints about being outspent by Romney should be greeted with skepticism.
As for the campaigns themselves, Obama began with a $100 million cash advantage, and still has nearly $100 million more in cash on hand. Romney has been doing much better than Obama at fundraising lately, but he had to spend a great deal on the primary campaign, while Obama faced no serious primary opposition. Since the primary season concluded and Romney officially became the nominee, the Obama campaign has outspent Romney 3-to-1, and the Obama ads have been over 75 percent negative."
You buy into that “lie” about Obama having a lot more money. LOL!
Plus Romney is a rich guy.
Brother.
Everything is always a conspiracy?
All of that work to push some sort of media spin? Please.
The one issue that plagues Obama is that he is outspending Romney 3 to 1 since the end of the primaries. It is a high risk strategy that aims to define Romney early and possibly to draw Romney out so he starts spending his funds now making him weaker in the Fall.
Obama will not lack for funds. SEIU and the other unions will provide him with plenty of money along with Hollywood and Soros. Romney just has to remain about even to negate the huge advantage that Obama enjoyed over McCain. FWIW: Karl Rove thinks Obama is making a mistake setting up his campaign offices and spending on ads so early. It remains to be seen how the Obama high risk strategy works out.
You are right too .
The Obama media literally publishes every Axelrod press release as ordered like this fund raising lies .
We live in scary times when the US media is owned and operated by Soros operatives and America hating sociopaths .
Absolutely. As Carville said about '92, "It's the economy, stupid!"
Suggesting Romney ignore the economy to run on "pro-family social policies?" Did that get Romney the GOP nomination? Yes, yes I suppose it did because Rick Santorum ran on that and lost.
"Strong defense" isn't on voter's radar. With OBL gone, and even when he wasn't, any 'threats' are too abstract unless something breaks in the next 3 months.
You are ignoring the massive money funneled by left wing unions ,
Moveon.org, and these Far left front groups set up by the Lewis lefties (progressive ins) , the Taco Bell Billionaire, Katzenberg ( movie tycoon) ,
Spielberg , .
“Dems have way more money but they are hiding it to peddle the rich guy is buying the election theme.”
True, but now they have to spend more of it in Michigan, Wisconsin, New Jersey, and North Carolina.
They thought these would be easy states where they could skimp. In addition, they have to defend 25 seats in the senate. The House is a throwaway. Obama will do an endaround on them anyway, so why bother?
That is why I do not believe a word that some of the posters are saying.
See, I was right, getting info from the “Washington COMPOST”.
Romney supporters sign their checks on the front;
Obama supporters sign 'em on the back.
You can go to OpenSecrets and get the same info. Denial just ain’t a river in Egypt.
The most reliable comment in this thread is that you have to read the NYT the way Russians used to read Pravda. Who has how much money stuck where is very difficult to pin down due to all the factors people have mentioned.
But how this “news story” helps the libs’ agenda is easy to figure out: scare Obama supporters into sending more $$, make Romney supporters feel complacent about their candidate’s chances (a feces-spewing monkey could beat BO only if the monkey was the more leftist candidate, and maybe gay — so he would be the one the media would be in the tank for).
You don’t have to love Romney; you just have to dislike Obummer and his policies more than you dislike Mitt. The Republican House can do nothing by itself — with a Democratic president and without a filibuster-proof Republican majority in the Senate, none of Obama’s “achievelments” will ever be undone.
Vote for Mitt in November and send him some money.
we could nominate a feces-throwing howler monkey for President and he could beat Obama this term.

I agree with 98% of your posted comment. But, with regard to the above statement: I respect Democrat operative Pat Caddell. He is an old-style, Truman Democrat who is also a man of intelligence and integrity. And I keep hearing, in my head, what he said on Hannity a week or so ago. He said: “Republicans must not get over confident; you don’t know what you’re dealing with here.” (Referring to the Obama Thug-brigade.) And, he is right. The Dems will not go down easily.
There may be something to that, especially with the fact the Obama campaign is paying huge amount$ for staff, etc. They're burning money like there's no tomorrow.
We may be seeing a "rope-a-dope" strategy unfolding here, because on balance, Romney hasn't been badly damaged by the onslaught by the Obama campaign. While Romney closes the gap in the cash-on-hand department (if he hasn't already drawn even), it appears he's marshalling resources until after the convention, at which point he'll bombard the airwaves when voters begin more intensely focusing on the election. It'll be a reverse of what Obama did to a resource-poor McCain in the waning weeks in '08.
These are facts.
These left wing front groups are a product of McCain election reforms and the Soros and fellow radicals being ticked off that Bush won in 2000 and 2004 !
The radical left got organized and set up these 501C3 non profits front groups .
That phoney Texas Tribune is a prime example of a radical left Wing media propaganda group set up by a rich left Wing and Soros .
It’s real interesting that you don’t know these facts but post here
Trashing posters warning people about the media spin .
True
In other words, Romney may be laying low for a reason, wait until end of summer, after the convention to begin to POUNCE.
If true that nobody cares, or that a majority of people are happy with this neo-depression,
Really the people who care are who it effects. There are 8 million people out of work and 10 million under employed. There are tons more that are working and fully employed. The people in the country like to complain but really gas prices are the main factor for most people and they see it falling and think everything is great....What can I say about a group of people who voted for Obama in the first place.
Remember that Romney will have the “super pacs” ready to go to take on any of the “radical left”, what they will come out with.
Opinion, nothing more.
Elections are all about momentum.
Right now Romney has it and Obama is sputtering.
Exactly.
How much does all the free MSM kneepadding of Obama amount to?
Obama does not even need close to the amount mittens needs since the entire MSM is a24/7 barackathon.
Let’s hope the momentum continues thru November 6. The general public won’t really start focussing on the race until after the conventions and Labor Day.
Ok, whatever.
Can you enlighten us then to the evidence proving that Obama raising less money than Romney was done as part of an elaborate conspiracy to...who knows what? Look weak?
we need to uses our “527’s” to attack obama relentlessly.
Obama's supposed financial disadvantage in this campaign season is an insidious lie, a put on, a fairytale. It must be dismantled, and would be, in an unbiased media.
Remember, this is the "billion dollar" Obama. Expect his side to have a 2 or 3 to 1 financial advantage.
Factually, Romney and the Republicans haven't much chance of matching Obama dollar-for-dollar and need very dime, nickel and penny that can be pulled together.
This explains why Hussien went to France last week to fund raise. That tells me the spigot is drying up for the dems and Hussien.
My prediction is that Romney will out raise Hussien from here on out.
Why?
This election is only going to be decided in perhaps 10 states at most.
The rest are pretty much locked for one side or the other.
“Plus also Obama has lost just about everyone who would support him.”
95% of black voters disagree.
"Obama Donations - Anyone, Anywhere"
Which is why Bobo has already told the downticket races, you ain't gettin' $h-t from me this time around.
There is no reason for Romney to spend it all now when Obama keeps stepping in it and working against the American people every day.
Your real quiet now that The Obama has less money has been
Debunked !
Need more enlightening ??
