Perry: TX Won't Implement Key Elements of Health Reform (Obamacare NULL AND VOID in Texas!)
Texas Tribune ^ | July 9, 2012 | Emily Ramshaw

Texas will not expand Medicaid or establish a health insurance exchange, two major tenets of the federal health reform that the U.S. Supreme Court upheld last month, Gov. Rick Perry said in a Monday morning announcement.

"I stand proudly with the growing chorus of governors who reject the Obamacare power grab," he said in a statement. "Neither a 'state' exchange nor the expansion of Medicaid under this program would result in better 'patient protection' or in more 'affordable care.' They would only make Texas a mere appendage of the federal government when it comes to health care."

Perry's office sent a letter to U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius on Monday morning asserting his opposition, both to accepting more than a hundred million federal dollars over the next several years to put more poor Texas adults onto Medicaid, and to creating an Orbitz-style online insurance marketplace for consumers.

Ten more large states follow suit and Obamacare will disappear down a fiscal black hole, even before 2014

Does Texas have room for about 150 million more people?

The new taxes and regulations will still go into effect next year. This is not a substitute for the repeal of obamacare at the federal level. Perry is only saying that he’ll refuse to accept federal money to expand medicaid. Obama will just use the money to buy votes elsewhere.

The legs under the 0bamacare table are already starting to buckle. I bet you 0bama sh*t a brick when SCOTUS deemed it a tax. When an entire service industry hinges on a tax, it's unsustainable. Single payer system is the goal but do the Democrats really want to go down that road again, or.. Will it be accomplished by Executive Order as an 'emergency measure'?

In any case, Gov. Perry may not be the best of orators, but a man of courage and conviction he IS!

Here's a little factoid I share with the "sustainable" nutcases I occasionally run into.

If you subdivided Texas into half-acre lots (ignoring lakes, rivers, roads, businesses, etc.), you could give each and every American their own half-acre lot in Texas, and still have plenty left over.

I think Texas has everyone covered. A low cost health plan is avialiable and below the poverty line is covered and believe me being on a southern border is not easy. It may not be red carpet but it is better than you will get with obama care.

Please warn me when Texas is about to close its borders with the other States, so I can get in while I still have a chance.

The next step: Perry should REFUSE to allow the IRS to collect the Obamacare tax in Texas.

No, A vital first ideological step toward nullification. If it works we won’t have to walk down the road of secession. We will have a limited federal government again, Limited by the constant self-interest(power interest) of state politicians.

We will also thou interstate competition have many limited State Governments to choose from. Most importantly with the preservation of a limited union we will be able to drive the leftist scumbags out of our state, and to increasingly socialist hellholes like California, New York and Massachusetts.

This is Wonderful News! Thank you Governor Perry of the Great State of Texas. With the help of God we shall have many other freedom loving States Stand up for the rights of their citizens as well. Washington will be forced to capitulate piratically then politically.

Thank you Governor Perry. Obamacare is my line in the sand, I do not know the consequences of my decision to refuse compliance. I am thankful my Governor has my back.

“The next step: Perry should REFUSE to allow the IRS to collect the Obamacare tax in Texas.”

Texas can’t do that until enough of our sister states are willing to do it with. One state alone cannot pick such a fight with Washington and hope to win. We need a great many acting as one. So let us do this one step at a time so that we might have time to get the rest of our political ducks in a row. Only then will we be capable of winning that fight and with it that so tresured position from which we can defend liberty.

Texas cannot win this fight alone, we needs our sisters to stand with us or it will be lost and we will all be defeated & subdued.

So one step at a time, help us get all the political ducks in a row in as many of our States as possible. Then and only then can we move against Washington’s encroachment together.

And you are exactly right. Is this principles at work? I doubt it. There is someone else behind both curtains.

Please warn me when Texas is about to close its borders with the other States,

It's funny, maybe because my family was here when Texas was still a Republic, but most have never have referred to state lines in anyway, except "the border"...crossing the border into Oklahoma, crossing the border into Louisiana..just crossed the border into Texas from New Mexico.

Wait for me, I’m stuck here with the rest of the faggots in Hollywood. It will be a change of pace for me to see actual, normal men instead of “men” who wear pink and act like women here..(God, the misery of living in a blue city)
