Lisa Madigan swept into the Illinois attorney general's office almost a decade ago as the can't-miss, up-and-coming daughter of the state's most powerful politician. Today her father, House Speaker Michael Madigan, still commands the spotlight. Ms. Madigan, who was supposed to be governor by now, shows no sign of upstaging him.

By all accounts, she was deeply involved in the signature issue involving state attorneys general ...

We're all chumbalones now. Corruption in ILL-ANNOY? No way! Let's pass laws that are unlawful on their face, then NOT litigate them since the daughter of the Speaker is the AG. How convenient. The same batch that gave us legislative direction that allowed a union rep for the teachers to work ONE DAY as a substitute teacher and get a lifetime teacher's pension. Nothing to see here, move along....to Indiana or Wisconsin.

I live in IL and am as sick of her father as anyone, as well as the rest of the corrupt system. But it is unfair to blame the sins of the father onto the daughter, and thus far Lisa Madigan has done a very good job, in a non-partisan way.

Bad laws come from a the legislative branch, as I’m sure you know, and are challenged through the court system, which having put the last two governors in jail, seems to be working fine.

Lisa had NOTHING to do with either Governor going to jail. She has fallen short on FOIA, pension, sole-source contracts, redistricting, selective enforcement of illegal aliens, Blago/Burris, etc. Please don't add to the puff piece of Lovely Lisa. She and her father have to go.
