In 2010, influenced by the Tea Party and its focus on fiscal issues, 17 states elected Republican governors. And, according to an Examiner.com analysis, every one of those states saw a drop in their unemployment rates since January of 2011. Furthermore, the average drop in the unemployment rate in these states was 1.35%, compared to the national decline of .9%, which means, according to the analysis, that the job market in these Republican states is improving 50% faster than the national rate.

And our lousy president is making campaign stops in all of them to take the credit. Note that he doesn’t appear in Illinois and California and other bankrupt states headed by Democrats.

Republican governors ought to be at every one of his stops in their state pointing out what they have accomplished in spite of his failed policies.

Yes. Exactly right. The SOB was just in Ohio claiming credit for the work GOP Gov. Kasich has done plus the new employment from fracking oil which O’s environmentalists and EPA would love to shut down. Makes you want to scream (or cry).

Love to shut down? Obama has done a hell of a lot of damage to our oil industry down here! He basically let our offshore ore rigs be sent off to Brazil, and is actively trying to shut down our Texas refineries!

Texas is having to fight him for what we have left! Obama is an unmitigated disaster for our industry.
We should him called hurricane Obama, the 4 year storm that won’t leave you alone.

South Carolina
Ping

Send FReepmail to join or leave this list.

South Carolina declined by 1.5%, right up there with the big boys like Michigan, Florida and Ohio. Yeah!

And did y'all read about the line items Gov. Haley vetoed in the budget? Read about it here. Now that's a conservative governor!

And therein is the double-edged sword.. those states did the right thing by electing Republican governors and most legislatures, but 0bama gets the credit for the success.

Amen. Media will not report this BUT why not have the various speakers at GOP Convention catalog this stuff? Palin (whom I’ve heard “they” are trying to shut out of convention) could talk about energy, Jindal could chime in as to what Obama did to LA Gulf oil industry. EPA is “quietly” shutting down Ohio, WVa and midwest coal fired electic generating plants. It is all being done almost secretly. No one squawking.

Mainstream media’s emphasis is on national/federal politics. State politics becomes a topic only if something is going “wrong” in their eyes.

On the other hand, the unemployment rate in states that elected Democrats in 2010 dropped, on average, as much as the national rate decline

Now, this is the part I didn't like. Couldn't they give the side by side figures? It seems weasily. At the very least, I'm going to have to check the figures before I repost it anywhere so I don't get a big shock from just one state, followed by a derogatory "well, it's Breitbart, what do you expect".

Just sayin', we have the facts on our side, but we need to know them all if we're going to fend off the BS.

This isn’t unexpected. The people in states that elected Republican governors are smarter than the people in states that elected Democrats, as evidenced by their political decisions. Let’s hope we aren’t seeing a transient spark of smarts, but a grassroots entrenchment of lasting intelligence.

Oh, he definitely appears a lot in California. His trips here are to collect money from Hollywood celebs and business moguls in Silicon Valley and San Fran. He doesn’t speak to the hoi polloi here, though.
