From 2-27 July, all countries of the world will come together in New York to negotiate what is seen as the most important initiative ever regarding conventional arms regulation within the United Nations. A robust arms trade treaty can make a difference for millions of people confronted with insecurity, deprivation and fear.

As U.N. Finalizes Arms Trade Treaty, Opponents Warn of Global Gun Grab
In a letter to Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on the eve of the conference, 130 Republican lawmakers outlined their concerns that the treaty being negotiated could negatively affect U.S. security, foreign policy and economic interests as well as Americans constitutional rights.

While our means to resist is strained, many of us have not the will or perhaps most importantly most of us have not the knowledge.
We have been trained in government schools to accept tyranny and lawless government. To believe in the lawless despotism of “democracy”. There is a reason one of the first things the imperial North did to the south was force them to start public education systems, as the north had for decades.
Let’s not be so critical. The UN has a long history of resolving international conflict, poverty and something else.
