Clash breaks out at GOP rally supporting Mitt Romney in Parma (video, photo gallery)

PARMA, Ohio -- Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney sent two GOP heavyweights to northern Ohio Thursday to beat President Barack Obama's similar bus tour to the punch.

Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal and former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty, traveling on Romney's campaign bus, stopped at Parma's Kentown Plaza to emphasize what they say is a gap between what Obama has promised and what he has delivered.

But a physical clash between Romney supporters and protesters overshadowed the Parma campaign stop by the prominent pair, who are often mentioned as possible running mates for Romney.

The quarrel broke out as soon as Pawlenty took the stage before about 200 people at the strip shopping center.

"Pawlenty go home, Pawlenty go home," the protesters chanted over the former governor's speech.

Funny how Blackwell makes it all sound like it’s Romney supporter’s fault.

"Pawlenty go home, Pawlenty go home"

If Romney had any sense, he would say this himself.

Fasten your seatbelt; it’s going to get a lot uglier than this.

Does the media cover Romney? All I see from the MSM is how wonderful obama is (no surprise). Even on FNC it’s all about obama or something he did. Where’s Romney?

One of the comments at the article claim this "protester" is a paid SEIU goon. Imagine that!

And, that by Election Day, the (SEIU) field campaign "intends to connect with voters by making nearly one million phone calls and knocking on more than 200,000 doors in Ohio."

Paid protesters...the DNC/Union Way.

They do that at shopping centers? I really don’t get out much!

Romney is on vacation in New Hampshire. There was a story about him being in some small town parade there on July 4th. I don’t blame him as most Americans aren’t watching politics this week.

Yeah, it’s like strip poker. Every time you look at a product and don’t buy it, you have to take off an article of clothing. It’s one of these new taxes on not doing something.

When I was growing up, we had “Parma” socks (white socks). It was a joke about lower middle, working class and no blacks in Parma. It did not originate with me and my parents raised me to not pass such things on, but if someone was spotted with white socks...Parma socks!

“Parma socks!”

I have to add- I was a little dense and thought that’s what gym socks were called until I was a teen.

LOL. Years ago there was a video of following Parma mail men. A good half day was spent at the doughnut shop. Maybe they and the police should be surveyed to find the best doughnut, kill time, hang out.
