WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. private employers stepped up hiring in June and the number of Americans filing new claims for jobless benefits last week fell by the most in two months, hopeful signs for the struggling labor market.

Employers outside government added 176,000 new workers to their payrolls last month, the ADP National Employment Report showed on Thursday, after increasing 136,000 in May.

Toward the end of the article reality sneaks in: Economists expect that as more people fall off the unemployment benefit rolls, the jobless rate will decline as people are forced to take up jobs they would not normally have considered or drop out of the labor force.

The other question is how many no longer “need” the labor force. The more that don’t “need” it (the unemployment denominator), the clear sign BIG improvements are on the way. Maybe many more can not “need” unemployment by November so Hussein can move us further Forward. After all, who needs it when there is SNAP, EBT, ABC, XYZ, M-O-U-S-E...

“hopeful signs for the struggling labor market.”

More of Obama’s “Hope”....then the reality bomb goes off.

That number will be revised next week, no doubt. The Obamedia will announce that U.S. has full employment in October The story right under that will report that half the population is on food stamps, thus proving the efficiency of Obama’s administration.

First, as I've said long ago, as November approaches, it wouldn't surprise me AT ALL, if the "claimed" Un-employment becomes near 0%, and Jobless "Claims" fall to zero, also.

These State-Run-Media and Reporting number-producers/poll producers will put whatever is necessary out in public, to buy the voters' hopes/claims/etc.

Common sense and self-reliance are absent in 50% of Americans today, and that's all it takes to keep Progressives employed on the OTHER 50% of Americans' incomes.....

Employment is a LAGGING economic indicator. We are already in a recession.

That's what I was thinking. The MSM, in order to use the sensational phrase "...biggest drop in..." for their golden boy hussein, are forced to look at a ridiculously short window. 2 months? Why not 1 month? Then you can simply say this month's gain/loss is the biggest gain/loss since last month! Wow, we're in it now!!! The cool thing is, by reducing their window just one month, they'd get to use that headline every single month! ;-/

Two months, sheesh, have they no shame. Who actually signed up to publish that excrement?

I guess we’ll be seeing a special speech from Dictator Obama because of this “MAJOR positive development” on our economy.

So the media was telling us for 2-3 weeks that the economy will not get better no matter who is elected (to cover for Obama). And now a glimmer of hope, and here comes the propaganda. The media is absolutely corrupt.

“biggest fall”?

biggest in 3 months. I’m not sure bigger than April and May deserves a superlative - unless you’re trying to write a biased article.

“”Initial claims for state unemployment benefits dropped 14,000 to a seasonally adjusted 374,000, the Labor Department said. The four-week moving average for new claims, a better measure of labor market trends, fell 1,500 to 385,750”””

Good news!!!! ONLY 385,000 people lost a job EVERY WEEK.

!!! The biggest drop in 2 whole months!

And if the one for July drops a single claim, the absolutely shameless cheering squad for Obama (the so-called 'mainstream' news) will all breathlessly procraim, "THIS IS THE BIGGEST DROP SINCE JUNE!!!!!"

They have ZERO shame.
