It's on his to-do list, but U.S. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell says the odds are against repealing the health care law championed by President Barack Obama.

The Kentucky Republican said Monday it's hard to unravel something of the magnitude of the 2,700-page health care law, WHAS-TV reports.

"If you thought it was a good idea for the federal government to go in this direction, I'd say the odds are still on your side," McConnell said. "Because it's a lot harder to undo something than it is to stop it in the first place."

If it can't be repealed then defund it or make the tax penalty so minimal that it becomes irrelevant.

“I’m getting very tired of receiving at least 3 pieces of correspondence per day from legislators asking for money to DO THEIR JOBS.”

They don’t. Their surrounded by “aids” from the git-go.
100s-1000s of them and D.C. connected bureucrats multiplied by each office holder exponentially, that are after their “take” also. Tentacles, thousands of thousands of “mark my words, no new taxes” lying, all up the Eastern seaboard.

Lobby paid off bribing, led by phony “banking” payable to “the Federal Reserve” every April.

Replicans need to work hard to get rid of Rino’s in 2014.... McConnell and Graham would both be high on my list!

Repeal the whole thing.

Start over.

Do it in segments.

That way, even Nancy Pelosi will know what is in the individual bills.

If I may borrow from your post....

What's really hard... is understanding why republican members of both the house and senate continue to elect people like him and bonehead their leaders.

I was surprised to read that the infamous Dred Scott decision has never been explicitly overturned.

THIS is why his later lie posted above means nothing... like his candidate romeny... he is a man of many faces and many statements. He can be whatever he needs to appear to be... until he goes to work. Then he is a spineless, lying coward.

I did... and it is damage control using the art of the lie and obfuscation. mitch mcconnell is not qualified to be Majority leader... he does not hold the required skill set to accomplish the job in the way that the Founders intended... which is exactly why he will become majority leader... and for the same exact reasons that mitt may become president. The elite cannot survive as the elite if ANYTHING changes.

>> Whoa!
>> I was so discouraged reading the headline as I thought McConnell was one of the sort-of good ones. The media is going full force in lie mode.

The best way to ensure that the media doesn't "spin" or create outright falsehood is to not give them a chance. In other words, make the original statement SO blunt, so un-nuanced, so straightforward, that any spin would make that media outlet a laughingstock. See my comment

For them everything is hard or impossible or not dignified or will cause criticism. Compare this to Pelosi’s, “we will go under the fence, over the fence, any way possible...”. Team Pelosi will never quit no matter how obviously wrong they are.

Dear Senator
You are being interviewed for a good job. Can you honestly do the job we need in the time required.

He's right. What he doesn't say is that there are too many liberals in both parties who have an interest in preserving death care.

And soon there will be voters in both parties who want to keep Obamacare (at least the parts of it that benefit them). It'll be just like entitlement reform; "You can take away their free stuff but don't dare touch my free stuff!"

In all Cases affecting Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls, and those in which a State shall be Party, the supreme Court shall have original Jurisdiction.

I often wonder why the Justice Department can sue States in lower Courts since the supreme court has Original Jurisdiction in cases involving states.

You would be surprised to know how many Freeper, Lawyer types don't believe the Congress can pass laws, Not Subject to Judicial Review.

I do believe the Senator is Revising his remarks, even to remove things he actually said.

How did people like McConnel and Bonehead become the power brokers?

Just like any other powerful lawyer, they trade favors, bribe and blackmail until they are elevated.

Maybe if you would stop believing everything you hear in the newsmedia you claim you don’t believe in the first place.

Maybe if you had watched him make the "hard to undo" quote on live TV, you would have a little harder time believing his new story line today.

He said what he said, now he is clarifying to the point that he didn’t say what he said.

This needs to be a campaign just like the 2nd Amendment and Life movements.

I hope not, we haven't had much luck with those two.
