Laurence Lewis at Daily Kos couldn’t help digressing from his blog on the San Francisco gay “pride” parade to ObamaCare. “The difference on health care between Republicans and Democrats, between conservatives and liberals? Republicans and conservatives want to take access to health care away from people,” he wrote on Sunday.
They “want to end Medicare and Medicaid as we know them. In absolute contrast, Democrats and liberals want to build on the ACA, until access to quality health care is a national birth right. In other words, Republicans and conservatives want to hurt people; Democrats and liberals want to help people.”
Lewis concluded: "The agents of regression and repression will not prevent this dream's imminent emergence into reality."
Naturally, Obama is apparently drawing grand enthusiasm from the left-wing base in San Fran Nan's territory:
OFA [Obama for America/Organizing for America] was out in force, and their parade participants were handing out pink Obama LGBT stickers. Long after having left the parade, all day and night, all over the city, I saw people wearing these stickers. It's purely anecdotal, but my observation is that this most liberal of cities is very enthused to re-elect this president.

This is just delusional. Poverty has increased since Barack Obama became president. The economy is not improving. The price of food has risen significantly. In fact, the price of everything is rising. Liberals like to take other people’s money and spend it. The leading liberals are all millionaires who like to make fun of the rich. They have every good thing life has to offer and couldn’t care less how much people suffer.
Liberals want to be PAID for offering their magnanimous “help.” Before they offer any assistance to someone who actually needs it, they harm someone else TAKING money by force FIRST to help themselves. If there’s anything left over is might get to a few show cases. Never mind that said “help” is a form of indenture intended to keep them in clover.

There is even a Washington Compost article saying seniors would take the brunt of 0’care...there is a $7 TRILLION cut to Medicare,

Seems to me you also had credibility, and as an aside may not have taken into account those who read without commenting, meaning you may have left the field before the battle was WON. In the end WE win.
I for one miss the socialized med threads. Pretty important for anyone approaching or long past the pretty much mandatory sign up for Medicare. Mandatory if you happen to want any doctor or med authority to talk to you.

I know the term "compassion" seems like antithesis to conservative cause, but it's not.
We will never get independents on board without it.
We can make the case that a stable, thriving economy; is the route to the most compassion.
Otherwise the independents go back to zero and the rinos.
The rugged, self reliant, second amendment loving conservative image is nice; but it won't win general elections. At least not in 2012.

When is it undeserved, compassion can be dangerous: it forgives what ought to be punished, and thus encourages bad behavior.
As an example: to care genuinely about the plight of poor people can be a good thing, as where one provides direct food assistance to meet immediate human needs, while teaching skills that will help lead to self-reliance. Giving five dollars to a street drunk is misplaced compassionate behavior; as is keeping people on unemployment benefits indefinitely or allowing EBT card users to buy booze and cigarettes with taxpayer money.
