Santorum to social conservatives: Romney's message is 'right on'
CNN ^ | June 16, 2012 | Gregory Wallace and Martina Stewart

Former GOP presidential candidate Rick Santorum gave a signal to social conservatives on Saturday: Mitt Romney's "message is sound. It's solid."

On Saturday, Santorum's praise was warm.

"The concern I had - I did, I was very frank about it - was that Governor Romney would track to the middle as so many Republican candidates have done, but I'm not seeing that," Santorum said. "I'm seeing him stand by those convictions that he articulated in the primaries and I'm hopeful."

“Look, these personal attacks have to stop”

I agree. Look in the mirror and say that to the person you see. I don’t engage in personal attacks, but I have received quite a few from others, yet I don’t respond in kind.

People engage in personal attacks or are accusing others of it, when they ran out of cogent arguments.

You say: “We want the GOP-e deleted from the Republican party, not given the keys to the White House.”

So you don’t want the Republicans in the WH, but you are fine with Obama being there for another four years...

I think we should remove you people from Republican politics before you get us all hurt. Really, I don't believe I've ever seen such low morals in any election (outside of one involving Democrats) as in the primaries with Romney.

His supporters are totally unprincipled, immoral, and not worth listening to.

He’s a loser who can’t even attract the Republican Conservative base of voters.

In 08 he defeated McCain by 10% in the Michigan primary. In 2012 he could only squeak out a tie with Santorum so his establishment buds had to change the rules in the middle of the night to give Mittless the win. Pure Obama style tactics.

No, the GOP-e and their running dog lackeys are NOT real Republicans. They are, if I may coin a phrase, just the same as the Obots.

They've become a drag on the Republican party.

Regarding personal attacks, when you accuse people who oppose Romney of being FOR OBAMA that's fighting words!

“when you accuse people who oppose Romney of being FOR OBAMA that’s fighting words!”

The truth hurts?

The choice is Romney or Obama. Bashing Romney only helps Obama. Helping Obama means being FOR Obama. QED

Who was the first “pretend conservative.” Certainly not the Bushes, goes back much further, maybe Hoover??? Or Charles Evans Hughes?

Anything less than full support for Romney is capitulation to Obama. There is no middle solution.

True, but the problem is this

both of these men are politicians, who couldn’t tell the truth if their lives depended on it.

The choice is Romney drops out now before he destroys America.

Your lack of imagination definitely labels you on these threads ~ virtually everyone here can think of some other outcome than Romney losing another election.

If I were to ultimately support Romney, it sure as hell wouldn’t be because if anything that zealot screwball had to say.

We had several conservative candidates during the primary, Saintorum wasn’t one of them.

See: Tenth Amendment.

I would just as vigorously oppose a Federal law requiring auto insurance...this is indeed a states rights issue as well as a healthcare and freedom issue.

Sure, let’s have Obama running without opposition. What a brilliant idea!

Obama is pleased.

Did you imagine that we should bend over one more time for this crowd?

Their losing candidates in recent history are legion ~ starting in Nixon, Ford, Bush, Dole, McCain ~ A sixth is too many!

Look, I just can’t vote for a man who would say this. You and the GOP-e should have picked a better man:

Mitt quote: ...gay couples raising kids. That’s the American way...

Lets see what happens at the convention.

Who are you going to suggest to take Romney's place?

The Republican Convention can select a candidate.

Not sure any of us should be debating you on these matters ~ it's pretty clear you have no idea how presidential candidates get nominated.
