Wait til the kids find out they're the ones paying for O-Care

Wait til the kids find out they have to pay up for insurance.

This Obamacare tax is going to hit the young people who voted for Obama hard in their disposable income. The truth is that most young people who are out on their own, living as single adults simply don't buy insurance because (a)they think they aren't going to need it for a long time. (b)they want to spend their money on cars, cosmetics, partying, etc. (c)they'll wait until they are married with families.

Oh, but some will say it won't cost them because they can stay on Daddy's policy til they're 26. This assumes Daddy has a policy and can afford to keep them on it. Never doubt that insurance companies or the government single payor policy will find a way to charge someone for this additional "free" coverage. Looks like this benefit will mainly benefit the college attendees, not the working poor or lower middle class.

Further, do we know what the rules are on this additional benefit? Do they have to be living at home and single? In college? Not covered by their employer who chooses to pay a fine instead of carrying insurance?

Remember that the great majority of employers have less than 5 employees. What will happen to the youngsters who come out of high school ready to work but can't find a job because employers won't hire because small employers will hire fewer employees because of the tax cost of O-Care.

The whole idea behind the mandate is to make the uninsured buy insurance to spread the cost, but the real reason is to get tax money from the young who won't regularly have a need for it in order to pay for the older participants.

Since the poor, the lower middle class and the young are the major demographics of those without insurance, O-Care is going to be paid for on their backs.

Wait til the kids find out.

My co-worker has a son who just graduated from a liberal college. He and all his social contacts seem to believe that health care will be free now.

Well up until yesterday mid-morning with the USSC court ruling about Obamacare. Look for newly minted young conservatives.

I think there is a provision in Obamacare that requires people who live overseas to fork over $1,000 per year to contribute to Obamacare. You might want to check it out.

I imagine there are a lot of unpleasant surprises in this bill.

The truth is that, people as they get older, mellow out, lose the radicalness. The millennnials will be no different.

Plus also there are those millennials who do have faith, do not count them out.

We all will pay for it, our employers will dump coverage and we will be paying our own insurance very soon. If we have jobs, small business is going to take a huge hit.

Congress needs to immediatley pass a bill that withdraws all waivers granted, and avow that there will be no federal subsidies for individuals who cannot afford the insurance or the fine, sorry...tax. Those who cannot afford the tax penalty will have liens placed against all future earnings and/or current properties which may be forfited. Those individual who recieve the earned income tax credit, will have their returns deducted by the tax amount. So everyone will see and feel the true individual cost of “free” government health care. Let’s really see how committed to this the supporters really are...

“Some figured it out yesterday .... I saw a couple of heads exploding on FB. Not happy (actually, they’re furious) & they are through with Obama. “

Obama debated Hillary on this issue and one of his selling points was that he was against a mandate while Hillary was for it.

Whenever Hillary does decide the time is right for ‘revenge’ against Obama, it’s going to be really, really ugly.

Here’s a quote from the Oral Arguments presented to the Supreme Cout:

JUSTICE ALITO: But isn’t that a very small part of what the mandate is doing? You can correct me if these figures are wrong, but it appears to me that the CBO has estimated that the average premium for a single insurance policy in the non-group market would be roughly $5,800 in — in 2016.

Respondents — the economists have supported — the Respondents estimate that a young, healthy individual targeted by the mandate on average consumes about $854 in health services each year. So the mandate is forcing these people to provide a huge subsidy to the insurance companies for other purposes that the act wishes to serve, but isn’t — if those figures are right, isn’t it the case that what this mandate is really doing is not requiring the people who are subject to it to pay for the services that they are going to consume? It is requiring them to subsidize services that will be received by somebody else.”

By the time those dopes figure it out, they will have voted to re-elect Hussein again and it’ll be too late.

It’s cruel to decieve the young this way...

They will be paying for health care- not for themselves- but for the old, the under-the-table workers and the illegals.
Medicaid would have to be pared back if the Dems and media didn’t fool the kids into this.

The ‘unreported’ job force is skyrocketing for the same reason as out-sourced jobs have as customers, employers and employees rebel against the costs of so many ‘free’ mandated ‘benefits’.

Well, they voted for him so I’m not so sympathetic. Sorry occupiers, time to pay up.

“Exactly. That’s what should outrage the young. Many Americans (older Americans, mostly) are diabetic, on dialysis, need chemotherapy, need bypass surgery, etc, etc. That stuff really gets expensive but it’s pretty inevitable for most people after enough decades go by.

But now the youth will be paying for a good chunk of that kind of care. HA! Suckers!!! “

No. You see, this is where the death panels come into play. :(

By the time they figure it out, they will be blaming Insurance co, doctors, Republicans, “big Pharma”.....ANYONE BUT BIG GOVERNMENT.

Most Americans blame GWB, Banks, Business, Wall Street, for the housing crash....not big Government. They will still vote for libs because the DNC/MSM will tell them that they will FIX it all!

Please people, lets not delude ourselves into thinking the American people will get this right.

Actually the Constitution requires that a direct tax be applied equally.

I don’t think the Obama Administration broad grants of waivers to their supporters will pass a Constitutional test if a lawsuit is filed to prevent them from being issued.

It ain’t over til it’s over.

Look to see your local charity hospitals paid for by taxes change their billing since the poor, the young and the illegal immigrants who use the charity hospitals run by government will no longer get their services for free.

Illegals will still get a free ride, because they are specifically exempted in the legislation. Yet another benefit for those who employ illegals.
