Wait til the kids find out they're the ones paying for O-Care

Wait til the kids find out they have to pay up for insurance.

This Obamacare tax is going to hit the young people who voted for Obama hard in their disposable income. The truth is that most young people who are out on their own, living as single adults simply don't buy insurance because (a)they think they aren't going to need it for a long time. (b)they want to spend their money on cars, cosmetics, partying, etc. (c)they'll wait until they are married with families.

Oh, but some will say it won't cost them because they can stay on Daddy's policy til they're 26. This assumes Daddy has a policy and can afford to keep them on it. Never doubt that insurance companies or the government single payor policy will find a way to charge someone for this additional "free" coverage. Looks like this benefit will mainly benefit the college attendees, not the working poor or lower middle class.

Further, do we know what the rules are on this additional benefit? Do they have to be living at home and single? In college? Not covered by their employer who chooses to pay a fine instead of carrying insurance?

Remember that the great majority of employers have less than 5 employees. What will happen to the youngsters who come out of high school ready to work but can't find a job because employers won't hire because small employers will hire fewer employees because of the tax cost of O-Care.

The whole idea behind the mandate is to make the uninsured buy insurance to spread the cost, but the real reason is to get tax money from the young who won't regularly have a need for it in order to pay for the older participants.

Since the poor, the lower middle class and the young are the major demographics of those without insurance, O-Care is going to be paid for on their backs.

Wait til the kids find out.

Wait til the kids find out.

Some figured it out yesterday .... I saw a couple of heads exploding on FB. Not happy (actually, they're furious) & they are through with Obama.

A couple of things to consider:

The 0bama regime, along with the CBO, have lied and downplayed the actual costs all along. The costs are going to be astronomical.

Let's hope that the kids are extremely fruitful and multiply like rabbits, because THE GENERATIONS to come are going to be the ones picking up this tab! This will be the ponzi scheme of all ponzi schemes. It is totally un-sustainable!

Mmmm. Our son has lived in Seoul for the last 3 years and maybe comes home a couple of wks/yr. He makes no income in this country and pays no income tax here. I wonder if he will be required to fork over money here?

Except one must understand the 18-30 years old are God hating communists. Seriously. Not all, but the majority are. My mother is a teacher for 25+ years who now goes around and is not in one particular place and she swears to me she has never seen a more radical leftist youth block as the Millennials. They despise God, they despise conservatism, and they want to destroy all the Churches, violently if need be.

They probably dislike the bill because it’s not Medicare for all, quite frankly. I am scared to think what the country will look like when they inevitably take over the courts, business, schools, and politics. It’s inevitable they must eventually, all generations do age and take over.

"Kids" (young adults 20-30) are a very, very low cost to the health insurance industry. Most don't even have a doctor.

This is not where the claims are going to be. (Even if every single one takes Obama up on the "free" $9 BC pill prescriptions.)

Kids have been so dumbed down by this communists pushing school system that they will never know the difference what America used to be. This generation will join the current generation of ignorant but happy with nothing.

>Wait til the kids find out.<

.
They will have to worry much more than just about O-care — they will have a huge number of allah-akbar people to content with who will make life in the US very unpleasant.

Exactly. That's what should outrage the young. Many Americans (older Americans, mostly) are diabetic, on dialysis, need chemotherapy, need bypass surgery, etc, etc. That stuff really gets expensive but it's pretty inevitable for most people after enough decades go by.

But now the youth will be paying for a good chunk of that kind of care. HA! Suckers!!!

.
It will be “free” alright if you survive and reach the end of the mile-long waiting line to get the medical care that you need.

Kids won’t be able to find jobs for a long time, not until this reprehensible bill is repealed or overturned.

The real test for Obamacare will come once they start setting up death panels — which, I hear will be very soon. How the panelists will be chosen and what they will base their life-or-death decisions on is shrouded in as much mystery as the birthplace of the Glorious Leader,

Exactly. This ISN”T where the claims will be, but this is the pool from which most of the new money in the health system will come from.

Actually, from an insurance underwriting point of view, the addition of millions of new policyholders forced by taxes to participate in the health care system will help pay for the older policyholders who use the system more. It will spread the dollars in the premium pool over everyone, whether they use the system or not.

Look to see your local charity hospitals paid for by taxes change their billing since the poor, the young and the illegal immigrants who use the charity hospitals run by government will no longer get their services for free.

In theory, all property or income taxes that now support these charity hospitals will become unnecessary since everyone will have insurance. However, once a tax is laid, it seldom goes away as bureaucrats can always find a use for the money rather than let it go back to the taxpayer.

My Dad has been living in Vancouver, Canada for the past 5 years taking care of my brother’s nieces and nephews and he never paid his taxes. The IRS should have audited him but nothing. The only thing he makes us do is check his stock tax forms when they come in and consult a tax atty. The attorney’s always tell him he has nothing to be concerned about except being a LA Kings fan in Canucks country.

With a decline in the ratio of people paying into social security and those collecting, wouldn’t this pose the same problems?
