Mitt Romney's presidential campaign has raised $4.2 million since the Supreme Court ruled the healthcare reform legislation constitutional, his press secretary reported in a tweet on Friday morning.

Romney responded to the ruling by renewing his pledge to repeal the Affordable Care Act known as "Obamacare."

He wrote in a fundraising email to supporters on Thursday: "Today, the Supreme Court upheld Obamacare. But regardless of what the Court said about the constitutionality of the law, Obamacare is bad medicine, it is bad policy, and when I’m President, the bad news of Obamacare will be over."

The Supreme Court's ruling was a clear win for President Obama, who counts the healthcare bill as a signature achievement of his first term. But Romney and other Republicans made clear they would not give up the fight to repeal what they call a government takeover of healthcare.

Romney's campaign had raised $2.5 million by 1:33 p.m. Thursday.

I really dislike Mitt as our candidate and I am very conflicted. But as much as I dislike Mitt, I despise Obama and wish only the very worst for Roberts. So I donated $25. I really had to analyze what happened yesterday and after I was done imagining God visiting a multitude of plaques on Roberts, I came to the conclusion the only way to get revenge is to get rid of Obama, take the Senate and the House. Shove this law up there arses on their way out the door. Sadly none of that can happen unless we put Mitt in the WH. Hold your nose, pinch your cheeks, whatever it takes but Obama must go before 2014 or this law will be permanent. I also want to get conservatives in Congress, does anyone have a list of conservative candidates running against incumbent Dims? Which Super PAC has been the most effective so far, do we have a Tea Party Super PAC? If not we need one ASAP. I will donate more but I want to help get control across the board. As I see it the only way to keep Mitt from backsliding his first term is to have Congress force him to keep his promise.

Repeal It All

The Supreme Court failed to defend the Constitution and protect citizens from unlimited government, but we will not rest until Obamacare is repealed in full.

Since the day this government takeover was rammed through Congress, the American people have demanded repeal, and today’s ruling doesn’t make Obamacare any less dangerous to our nation’s health.

Obamacare remains as destructive, unsustainable, and unconstitutional as it was the day it was passed. Now as then, our first step toward real health care reform and economic renewal remains Obamacare’s repeal, down to the last letter and punctuation mark.

Congress is incapable of “fixing” such an incredibly flawed bill. It must be repealed.

That is why the Senate Conservatives Fund has launched this national “Repeal It All” pledge to rally support for conservatives candidates who vow to completely repeal President Obama’s health care takeover.

We cannot just elect any Republicans to do this. We’ve seen what happens when we send Republicans to Washington who don’t truly believe in the principles of freedom. They back down, make excuses, and refuse to fight against the big-government agenda.

We must support true conservatives who can be trusted to repeal ObamaCare — all of it.

Interesting thought, my wife and I discussed that very thing. I am not quite ready to fully retire but I am eligible for a certain status with the VA. Once in that particular status, I cannot work a full time job, will receive max compensation and nothing I earn nor the compensation I receive will be taxable. I would be eligible to draw my SS early at a reduced monthly pay out, but my current annual income would actually go up! My wife and I as it stands today are not affected by this law until around 2016 or later. The military mentioned the healthcare exchanges when discussing reducing retiree health costs, so I suspect once Obamatax is fully implemented the DoD will come after us. My wife is a nurse, we discussed her going PRN, essential on call part time, which would reduce our taxable income well below the threshold in Obamatax. However, we would than rate all the crap I actually oppose.

I understand your position and until yesterday I intended to vote for Congress and State seats only. Obamatax cannot stand, people will die. You can call it God's will, but governments are not God's concern, they are the will of the people only. So when you have family members denied health care or lose their house to the IRS over medical bills, that is not something God did. I looked at Roberts BS, there are so many serious unintended or down stream consequences not even touched on by the idiots on Fox News. Eventually under this law, the IRS will be given the power to actually come after you to pay your Doctors bill, think about the ramifications of that alone. As odious as Mitt is this law is worse and Obama has shown a wiliness to bypass Congress by decree. Your choice now is Mitt or a dictator. Sucks yes, but this is far different than choosing leaders cut from the same clothe like McCain or Obama or Bush or Clinton, it is no longer about the politics it is about the rule of law.

The majority of the law does not go into effect until 2014. There are ways to repeal it or kill it allowing it to die on the vine. We will need a new Constitutional Amendment because of what Roberts did yesterday, making it impossible for the court to write tax laws from the bench. None of this while happen under Obama and it will be too late in 2016.

I’ve had long conversations with God on this. I’ve been interceding for this country for over 30 years. There’s no “I, I, I.... There is- I’ve lived all over the world.
