The congressional contempt vote against Attorney General Eric Holder is looking more and more like a fait accompli, as House Speaker John Boehner presses ahead with a Thursday floor vote and conservative Democrats one-by-one announce they will side with Republicans.
At least four Democrats so far have said they plan to vote to hold Holder in contempt over his refusal to turn over Operation Fast and Furious documents. Sources told Fox News that roughly 20 are likely to break ranks.

Murder, dishonesty, irresponsibility, incompetence, cover-ups, lies and distortions and now protection under Executive Order. Sadly, these are all adjectives describing Eric Holder’s tenure as U.S. Attorney General.
Holder’s obstructionist conduct over “Fast and Furious” is a travesty,especially considering that the family of slain U.S. Border Agent Brian A. Terry continues to wait for justice that simply isn’t coming from “the most transparent administration” ever.
This is outrageous, and we’re joining with growing numbers of Americans who are calling for Eric Holder’s resignation. His long line of scandalous decisions from pardoning Marc Rich, to the pardon of 16 Armed Forces of National Liberation (FALN) terrorists, to his condemnation of Guantanamo Bay to refusing to defend the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) and more - demonstrates that he lacks the integrity to carry out the duties and responsibilities as U.S. Attorney General.
We support the efforts of the members of Congress who are calling for Attorney General Eric Holder’s resignation. During his tenure as Attorney General he repeatedly demonstrated a lack of competence, accountability and honesty — culminating in the “Fast and Furious” gun walking scandal.
Throughout the investigation, Holder has been an obstruction to truth and justice. The American people and the nation deserve better from federal officials and to that end, we are adding our names to this petition demanding Eric Holder’s immediate resignation as U.S. Attorney General. We also support the “Contempt Of Congress” vote in Congress against Holder.

I’ll believe it when I see it. If Obama, Holder and Biden can openly and fervently threaten the SCOTUS, imagine what they do to their constituents.

As Instapundit just blogged, now we will be able to LEGITIMATELY claims that a bipartisan majority held Holder in contempt.
RATS are jumping the Pelosi ship and will vote for contempt
against Holder, in a last minute ditch to save their seats.
This vote will NOT BE PARTISAN!
It will be BI-PARTISAN, even worse for Holder.

Many Democrats that vote to protect Holder and Obama will lose their seats protecting these two murderers of American law enforcers and Mexican citizens. IMHO, Both Obama and Holder are traitors and criminals to boot!!! Both men should be thrown out of office and jailed!!!

Personally, I think it’s bigger.
Richard Nixon did not knowingly arm enemies of a neighboring state, Mexico, who murdered 200+ Mexican citizens and attacked the Mexican government....all WITHOUT the knowledge of the Mexican government.

I guess I was just wondering why he would allow his reputation to be totally destroyed going down in history as being held in contempt of Congress. Is obama really worth losing your integrity and reputation for? I strongly believe this scandal goes to the top and that obama is behind F&F. And you’re right -it’s disgusting and disgraceful.

He has never had a good reputation. He has been known for years to be an anti-American, white hating, smug bastard who is known for spitting on the constitution. He is a “go to guy” which is why he is attorney general under the Marxist Obama. You certainly can’t think that he cares about his rep after his handling of the black panther voter intimidation case.

If 20 or more do vote for the contempt resolution, it will make it more difficult to spin this as a vote along party lines. There may be a few Dems who vote for this based on principle, but I suspect that a number of them are anticipating a landslide loss for Obama, and want to give themselves cover as they also run for reelection.
The drive-by-media is putting out the tale that “some” Dems may join in this only because the NRA is putting pressure on them. Not because it is the right thing to do. Not in a spirit of bipartisanship or compromise, but just because they are traitorous snakes. Geesh.

Integrity and reputation are relative to holder. If that’s all it’ll cost him, no big deal. hell he’ll be on some dems fat payroll ASAP.

And yet another name that needs to be tied to this is Hillary Clinton, the US Secretary of State. There is no way this went down (involving another sovereign nation--Mexico) without the state department being thoroughly advised (establish plausible deniability).
She was one of the voices constantly repeating that 90% of the weapons in the Mexican cartels came from the United States when she KNEW that was a bald-faced lie. I will love seeing her squirm at the appropriate time. Here is a quote from the queen of state herself:
