Holder in peril as Dems break ranks on contempt resolution (VIDEO)

The congressional contempt vote against Attorney General Eric Holder is looking more and more like a fait accompli, as House Speaker John Boehner presses ahead with a Thursday floor vote and conservative Democrats one-by-one announce they will side with Republicans.

At least four Democrats so far have said they plan to vote to hold Holder in contempt over his refusal to turn over Operation Fast and Furious documents. Sources told Fox News that roughly 20 are likely to break ranks.

Just wondering, exactly what usually or can happens when one is held in contempt of Congress? Can the Speaker have him locked up?

Integrity and reputation are relative to holder. If that’s all it’ll cost him, no big deal. hell he’ll be on some dems fat payroll ASAP.

If he did that he wouldn’t get the pardon he is going to need.

(would be for Holder to flip on Obama and decide not to take the fall.)
Not something an honorable man would do. But then....

Hey now, everyone be sure to tell every liberal you run into, "Too bad Eric Holder didn't have as much integrity as Ollie North..."

I believe you could get a 5-point head explosion with that!?

If 20 Dems vote with Republicans, then that is saying this is as big as Watergate. Personally, I think it’s bigger. Richard Nixon did not knowingly arm enemies of a neighboring state, Mexico,

And yet another name that needs to be tied to this is Hillary Clinton, the US Secretary of State. There is no way this went down (involving another sovereign nation--Mexico) without the state department being thoroughly advised (establish plausible deniability).

She was one of the voices constantly repeating that 90% of the weapons in the Mexican cartels came from the United States when she KNEW that was a bald-faced lie. I will love seeing her squirm at the appropriate time. Here is a quote from the queen of state herself:

During an interview on CBS’ "Early Show" on March 26, 2009, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said: "We have to recognize and accept that the demand for drugs from the United States drives them north, and the guns that are used by the drug cartels against the police and the military, 90 percent of them come from America."

Now, who will the Dems turn to ...Jill Biden???

“The best thing that could come out of this would be for Holder to flip on Obama and decide not to take the fall.”

I agree, but won’t happen. He’s just as committed to the Marxist agenda as Obama is.

Black Lawmakers Plot 'Walkout Strategy' During Holder Contempt Vote

The Congressional Black Caucus has called a members-only "emergency" meeting on Thursday to plot a "walkout strategy" ahead of the scheduled contempt vote of Attorney General Eric Holder later in the day.

The plans, detailed in an email from the executive director of the Congressional Black Caucus obtained by the Alley, include circulating a letter disapproving of the vote and having lawmakers walk out of the Capitol to hold a press conference during the roll call.

Holder may want to continue practicing law somewhere or be nominated to a nice, cushy bench seat on the 9th perhaps.

Marc Rich pardon

New Black Panthers reversal

Manhattan Al Queda trial

Attempts to close Gitmo

Fast and Furious stonewall

This guy is awful in so many ways it’s hard to believe he ever got the Attorney General post.

If 20 donkeys jump, and all the pubbies hold the line, the vote will be 60% for contempt, 40% against - in any other situation, the MSM would call that a bipartisan landslide.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D9sBBm43Ee0&feature=relmfu Obama ordered operation Fast and Furious in March 2009, now lies about it to Congress
Published on Jun 22, 2012 by golemsbar

Press conference from March 2009 where Robert Gibbs, former White House press secretary ,Janet Napolitano head of DHS, David Ogden Deputy Attorney General, and Jim Steinberg Deputy secretary of state roll out a new initiative that the “President has directed” which included “ fortifying Project Gun Runner” , and “working with the Mexicans to facilitate Gun Tracing which targets illegal weapons and their sources in the United States”, This operation officially became known as Fast and Furious. During subsequent testimony to Congress, Attorney General Eric Holder denied any knowledge of this operation, then retracted denial of Fast and Furious 9 months later. President Obama also denied any knowledge of this operation and is now using Executive privilege to prevent Congress from seeing any documents linked to operation Fast and Furious. As can be seen from this press conference however, he most certainly knew about it and ordered the operation.

Hell, he didn’t even order the break in. He screwed himself by trying to cover it up.

Yes. Dumb that.

And they didn’t really learn anything either....that McGovern was vulnerable. Heck, you didn’t need a crystal ball on that one.

Yup. If he had just come clean with it right at the start, he would have saved himself a lot of pain and humiliation and would never have had to resign.
