Holder in peril as Dems break ranks on contempt resolution (VIDEO)

The congressional contempt vote against Attorney General Eric Holder is looking more and more like a fait accompli, as House Speaker John Boehner presses ahead with a Thursday floor vote and conservative Democrats one-by-one announce they will side with Republicans.

At least four Democrats so far have said they plan to vote to hold Holder in contempt over his refusal to turn over Operation Fast and Furious documents. Sources told Fox News that roughly 20 are likely to break ranks.

I agree, this is much much more then Watergate.
It’s Murdergate and who knows how many are involved besides these two.

Wasn’t Nixon just trying to find out who a mole was?

No one died on his watch and he graciously stepped down.

Agreed that this is more series than Watergate.

But

“gracious” is not exactly the word that comes to mind when Richard M. Nixon’s name is mentioned. Even by those who think he was better than the conventional wisdom says he was.

You bet it's bigger.

This criminal enterprise by Holder/Obama makes Watergate look like child's play. If the enemedia was reporting on this as they should have been, and like they did on Watergate, Holder would already be gone and Obama would be sweating bullets.

Democrats are fast becoming witch hunters and racists.

A more proper way of putting it would be...... Democrats are witch hunters and racists.

“gracious” is not exactly the word that comes to mind when Richard M. Nixon’s name is mentioned.

Well it should be, especially when one considers how he was robbed of the Presidency due to vote fraud by LBJ in Texas and the Daley machine in Chicago in 1960.

MANY in the Republican Party (when it still had some stones), were urging Nixon to contest the vote and demand a recount but he refused to do so, GRACIOUSLY choosing instead to concede to JFK, because he believed that America needed the world to know that there was no ambiguity or question about who was the legitimate elected President, especially with the Soviets looking for any and every sort of geopolitical advantage.

So in that aspect, you better believe Nixon was gracious, putting Country above his own personal interests.

The best thing that could come out of this would be for Holder to flip on Obama and decide not to take the fall.

Not while Obama has the power of the pardon. That will shield Holder from any real consequences and he can follow the "Sandy Burglar" model of life after scandal. Heck, look how well Client #9 is doing. This is a badge of honor to those berks. If anything, it enhances their career opportunities. /disgust

I guess I was just wondering why he would allow his reputation to be totally destroyed going down in history as being held in contempt of Congress. Is obama really worth losing your integrity and reputation for? I strongly believe this scandal goes to the top and that obama is behind F&F. And you’re right -it’s disgusting and disgraceful.

I do not believe anyone even took a punch during the entire Watergate fiasco. Here we have upwards of 200 murders including one American. We of course, do not know the precise number murdered by these "Fast and Furious guns."

The media should be all over this. 24-7. But they aren't. Of course if Bush were still President...

He has never had a good reputation. He has been known for years to be an anti-American, white hating, smug bastard who is known for spitting on the constitution. He is a “go to guy” which is why he is attorney general under the Marxist Obama. You certainly can’t think that he cares about his rep after his handling of the black panther voter intimidation case.

20 Dems vote with Republicans

I saw that prediction, and if it comes true, it tells you all the polls about how well Obama is doing are pure bullsh!t.

If 20 or more do vote for the contempt resolution, it will make it more difficult to spin this as a vote along party lines. There may be a few Dems who vote for this based on principle, but I suspect that a number of them are anticipating a landslide loss for Obama, and want to give themselves cover as they also run for reelection.

The drive-by-media is putting out the tale that “some” Dems may join in this only because the NRA is putting pressure on them. Not because it is the right thing to do. Not in a spirit of bipartisanship or compromise, but just because they are traitorous snakes. Geesh.

Does anyone think these dems were not given permission to vote for contempt???

Every vote is bought or sold by the leaders in the congress

The leadership would rather throw Holder under the bus than keep the vote partisan there is no value in keeping the vote partisan...

They know Holder is gone anyway whether or not Obama wins
