House Democrats should launch a media blitz as soon as the Supreme Court rules Thursday on President Barack Obama's Affordable Care Act, according to a strategy memo obtained by the Chicago Sun-Times.
The memo, from the House Congressional Democratic Leadership operation, advises members to be on the alert Thursday morning to "quickly and effectively" communicate with media and constituents "as soon as the decision is announced."
The memo outlined a game plan to use traditional media--plus FaceBook and Twitter to "serve as a way to inform your followers of the Court's decision while adding your voice to the conversation. Members should be prepared to have a concise message to send through these accounts once the decision is released."
Of course, there is also the usual press release: "Members should be prepared to have a statement written quickly, once the decision is released, to send to press and post on his or her Congressional website."
After the first wave of comments, House Democrats next are advised to hold a telephone town hall Thursday and through the week.
"While still in Washington, a tele-town hall will allow Members to speak directly with constituents about their positions and answer questions stemming from it."
There are certain rules about taxpayer funded communications that Members have to be careful about, the memo stated.
"Be mindful of tele-town hall franking rules if your office is in a blackout period and contact the House Administration Committee at 202-225-2061 with any questions. A draft script for announcing a tele-town hall to your constituents and vendor resources are available on DemCom."
There are also some more standard suggestions, such as booking interviews with editorial boards, reporters and bloggers. "Before the ruling is released, contact print reporters, bloggers, and television stations to schedule an interview following the announcement. Members can also contact local editorial boards about the possibility of penning an op-ed following the ruling."
That can be buttresses with mail and e-mail. "Once the decision is released, compose correspondence to send those writing and calling your office, as well as targeted constituents in your district."
The Supreme Court is ruling as members head home for a summer break. Members are being encouraged to "hold events underlining the importance of the Affordable Care Act," with guidance available to work "with health care groups and how they can help you find Americans and small businesses benefitting from the law for your event."
There are even suggested sample events, such as holding "a press conference with those helped by the law, such as young adults able to stay on their parents' coverage, seniors paying less for prescription drugs, or women whose gender will no longer be considered a pre-existing condition."

Yes, Boehner plays golf and then cries when he one-putts and Rommney/Rove tells us "not to spike the ball," if the SCOTUS strikes down Obamacare.
I can't imagine any other outcome.
If the court strikes down only the Individual Mandate or the entire 2700 page wagonload of manure, the Obama administration will continue to implement Obamacare as fast as they can.
Their excuse will be that the money has already been appropriated and authorized -- and once they are able to adjust the bill to meet constitutional muster, the framework will be ready.

HOROWITZ: I see a dramatic change in American political life and that is the awakening of the people. The awakening of conservatives. When I first, when I left the left 25 years ago, actually conservatives were quite kind to me, but they didn’t really want to take in if the message.
They were in a kind of denial because first of all because it was too horrible to contemplate that there were so many people that want to destroy this country. And the second thing is that conservatives don’t like politics. If you’re a conservative, you’re probably in the private sector, you’re a creator. Politics is real .. is a lot about destruction.
You’re a creator. If you’re running a business, you want every customer possible. So you don’t want to get involved in divisive battles. And then kind of the attitudes change a little and I got support because they .. I mean, here was a guy who was willing to mix it up and get into the street fight and I .. you know, I don’t take any credit for that. That’s really all I know how to do. And that’s the way I was brought up.
GLENN: But we haven’t .. I mean, all of us, first of all, after communism fell, we all thought, oh, Communist, it’s a joke, that’s proven wrong, it’s not working.” So any hiding communists or anything like that, “Oh, please, it’s ridiculous. Nobody really believes that.” And we’re all in that moment of, you know, after September 11th, all .. even the progressives standing there on the steps of the capitol holding hands and singing Kumbayah and everybody thought, we’re all Americans. If the individual mandate is struck down, the funding mechanism for the entire law goes away. So how in your opinion can the law be paid for?

Understand that neither my opinion, nor your opinion, counts in this conversation. Understand only that the Obama administration only cares about preserving Obamacare and its long-term radical promise -- in whatever semblance they can maintain.
There are arguments that the left may actually view the stripping of the Individual Mandate from the act as being an opportunity.
Because other provisions of the act require the insurance industry to a.) cover everybody, regardless of pre-existing conditions and b.) accept any and every application. Meaning that people could go completely without insurance, without penalty...until they suffered an injury or disease and needed it.
Of course, the industry would have to raise their rates to reflect the new higher (and certain) risk factor they were working under. Under these circumstances, why would anybody buy insurance...until they needed it? Which means it wouldn't be "insurance" at all -- merely a payment plan for projected costs.
At this point, insurance providers quickly leave the market...leaving it to the government to provide coverage as the "insurer of last resort"...achieving the single-payer plan that Obama and the Democrats wanted in the first place.
Of course, at this point, the Democrat's hopes hinge solely on Obama's re-election and re-gaining control of Congress. But they will do whatever they can to keep their options open...until that opportunity is closed off.
If by 'strategy' you mean "reach across the aisle, then yes. {By "their agendas" I'm assuming you mean the Democrats's or perhaps the globalists's.}

Kind of reminds me of what a lot of them did when they held an event outside the Capitol in support of Clinton directly after the articles of impeachment were passed.
If they want to run their campaigns on reinstating Obamacare, or implementing it against the SCOTUS ruling, they'll lose even bigger in November.
With the latest punishment from the vindictive One of the ICE hotline to report law enforcement abuse in AZ to the Feds, which could just as likely be hired Soros hands precipitating causes for arrest, then creating a crisis so they then report AZ LE, I wanna know: when is SOMEone going to gather the bits of their spines, stand up, call for, and fight to gather support for impeachment. All this is so far beyond criminal Constitutional malfeasance and high crimes, it’s breathtaking.
