Re your post 5:
A very interesting, twisted, and corrupt reason for Holder’s pushing for civilian trials for terrorists. It never hurts to follow the money.
After all, wasn’t Holder the guy who did the back office work on Marc Rich’s pardon by Clinton? Do you think he did it for free?
From the accounts I've read of the Marc Rich pardon Holder suddenly became, for no explicit reason, a tireless advocate for Rich and was credited with winning Clinton over. One of Holder's arguments for the pardon was that the Israeli government said Rich had been an asset to their intelligence service. It doesn't seem likely that Holder would personally cotton to an international financier who did favors for the Mosad but money talks. I think the deal was cut directly between Clinton and Rich's ex-wife but Clinton needed Justice to sign off on it. Reno wouldn't do it because she planned to run for governor of Florida and figured there would be blowback from the whole sleazy pardon scam Clinton was planning. Holder got the job and I don't think he did it for free.
