Even here at FR you’ll find those who believe business should be risk free and investment should be without possibility of loss.

West should get the top spot.

I think West is too far “right” for the Chosen Willard to want him as his VP, though.

I agree with him on the free markets, but disagree that a religion needs hell to be effective.

“...The free market without bankruptcy...
...why make good decisions if you know there won’t be consequences for making bad ones...”
-
I wonder if he includes bankruptcy proof lending of money for student loans to people who in a true free market would never qualify in his thought process.

My electric company got approval to raise rates to make up for “losses” resulting for falling demand.

So much for the old free market concept of supply and demand.

However it should also be noted that they’re building wind farms which will lead to falling supply and I suspect they’ll rediscover supply and demand as their supply falls. They’re getting tax breaks for going green as well.

I don’t know what we are but it sure isn’t a free market economy. Maybe market socialism.

I did not see one single or bumper sticker for McCain until he chose Palin as his running mate.

I know Mitt’s new pro-gun, pro-freedom blabber is just political spin.

I wonder if he has the sense to choose West as VP?

It would be a nice counter to the race card, even though the poverty pimps and race hustlers do not recognize conservatives of color.

While the Feds continue to overreach into interstate commerce
all free markets in America will suffer. Especially artificial food pricing
by forcing a system that forces one farm to sell to another state instead of
allowing local commerce. Frustrating to say the least.

I hope you are correct. He would also make a hell of a Secretary of Defense.

I agree with him on the free markets, but disagree that a religion needs hell to be effective.

Though you may not agree, this is a basic tenet of Christianity. Without a penalty for sin, there is nothing to be forgiven - and no need for a savior. In other words, religion would be pointless without just condemnation for sin. There can be no reward without risk of loss.

Allen West is a brilliant speaker.

I don’t believe Allen West has said one thing yet that I can strongly disagree with.

Somebody said: “Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.” And this is what the banks should do... win stupid prizes like bankruptcy.

They made stupid investments, a lot of people did. The sooner the failures come the better off we will all be and especially the ones who didn’t make stupid investments.

Look at Iceland, they are pulling out of the crap already. We are still going deeper into it.
