Rove: Pelosi 'sounds like Mad Red Queen' with arrest threat
The Hill ^ | 6/21/2012 | Justin Sink

Karl Rove said Rep. Nancy Pelosi was "dead wrong" when she suggested Wednesday that she could have had him arrested.

"The only way I could have been arrested is if the House adopted the resolution, which it did not," the Republican operative and former adviser to President George W. Bush told Fox News on Wednesday night.

"So, it's nice to know that Speaker Pelosi wanted to have me arrested. It's nice to know that she thinks she had the power to, but we're still a nation of laws and she has no authority to do so and had she attempted to arrest on any of the number times that I was in and out of the Capitol, without a resolution passed by the entire House of Representatives, she would have been up the proverbial creek without the proverbial paddle."

Nobody who has attained the position of Speaker of the House, and has the nerve to tell the American people that “we have to pass the bill so you can find out what’s in it,” should EVER be taken seriously about anything.

If Nanzi had thought she could actually have done it, she would have done it.

And Her supporters accused Reagan of suffering from Alzheimers while he was In Office.

I saw her in this clip.

Pelosi is implying that the House could vote to have Holder arrested by congress, actually by capital police. (who would enforce this order?)

Not sure what she is getting at here except the imaginations of her liberal voters who watch MSNBC nightly and wanted to see Rove in jail. Naturally MSNBC nightly used to talk about seeing Rove led away by police in chains, a complete fantasy.

“but we’re still a nation of laws “

Oh REALLY???

Where have YOU been Carly boy?? Your President Bush II chose to IGNORE the Immigration and Border Laws he took an oath to defend and allowed in a FLOOD of illegals to assist Obumma get re-elected.

As for Obumma himself, he has demonstrated time and again he doesn’t need a Constitution to govern.

I’d love to see the Mad Lady Pelosi and Carl Rove get into an Arkansas Duel somewhere.

Maybe when Bush was the executive Karl, but not today in the post-Consitutional Monarchy.

But yet there are those who align themselves with the left that take this sorry excuse for a representative extremely serious. Selfish, convoluted, political and personal desire is the reason, and what will account for the down fall!

Pelosi and her ilk deserved to be shunned til their last breath.

Teachers telling kids they can be arrested for speaking against the One, Pelosi with this crap, TSA everything...

Anyone getting the impression that the libs are ‘easing’ people into the idea of a full tilt police state? Granted, we’re almost there now, but I find it odd that these issues always seem to pop up a week or two before some egregious violation of the constitution.

Not "capital police" but "Capitol Police" ~ and yes, the Speaker could have directed the Sergeant of Arms to direct the "Capitol Police" to arrest anyone for anything and NOBODY would rescue the arrestee.

Back to the separation of powers, each House is granted full authority by the Constitution to make its own rules. They have further set aside Capitol Hill (US Capitol and various office buildings, as well as field offices) as a Congressional reserve where their rules apply.

The Executive visits by way of an invitation. He doesn't just go up there and do stuff ~ he has to be asked.

Pelosi's resolution came in the form of her election as Speaker of the House, and she could have arrested Karl Rove any time she wished.

Now, is Nancy Pelosi nuts? Well, of course, but the Democrats are nuttier than she is ~ they elected her Speaker. Fortunately she was thrown out of that job in 2010's election.

Now we have Boehner. Would he arrest Rove?

The left is even more insane than that - They elected her Speaker in 2007, and then after all that damage she caused turned around and REELECTED her again in 2009. Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. I guess one could argue they didn't want different results just more liberalism.

Watching her work I have come to the conclusion that she is not half as nutty as she talks. IN 2007 and 2008 she let the Conyers JC have all the play votes they wanted against Bush WH people but she held the line against any impeachment votes or arresting anyone or in any way bringing her bad publicity. She also gave Cindy Sheenan the boot who was banned from MSNBC after being built up to be a cult hero there.

Pelosi had one thing in mind: absolute power in 2009 and she wasnt letting her impatient progressive members screw it up for her.

Pelosi is a fighter and a real leader of her caucus., Boehner is a weakling.

Rove and Holder is a bad correlation.

Rove and Valerie Jarrett is more like it.

Tell you what, Nance. I’ll actually go along with you. Arrest Jarrett and Rove both. You can have him!

“...she is not half as nutty as she talks....”

I think we make a huge mistake when we call these people “nutty”, etc.

They know exactly what they are doing, and they do it damned well.

If they didn’t, we wouldn’t on the edge of the cliff we now stand on.

Yes, she may be a loon, but she’s a loon with a cause, a purpose, and the will and determination to carry it out.

How many on our side have that kind of dedication? If we did, we wouldn’t be where we are right now, playing defense and merely reacting to these treasonous asswipes all the time.

As much as I can’t stand the b*stards, I have to give them credit for sticking to their guns (pardon the pun) for 100+ years to push us to this point. And they’re going to KEEP pushing us...they won’t ever stop.

No, I don’t consider them nuts. I consider them dangerous, driven, seditious, traitors who need to be fought tooth and nail for even the smallest as well as the largest cause at each and every turn, by any and every means available.

They’re capable of any atrocity as they become more unhinged at the thought of losing their power. And they have the coercive force of the state at their disposal to do so.

“I could have arrested Karl Rove on any given day,” the California Democrat told reporters. “I’m not kidding. There’s a prison here in the Capitol. If we had spotted him in the Capitol, we could have arrested him.”

Her penis is nowhere near as large as she thinks it is.

Correct on all counts.

Liberalism/progressivism/communism/collectivism - all - are simply the political expression of the religion of humanism,
and we’re going to have to contend with it until its author is consigned to the Pit for eternity.

Understand that and act accordingly.

Are you saying Boner could have arrested Pres. Obama when he went there for the State of the Union?

Well, why didn't he?

I do understand it, all too well, brother.

They won’t stop. Ever.

So we can’t either.

The President was invited ~ as is always the case. Early Presidents simply refused to go to Congress even when asked.

Boehner can have anyone arrested for anything within the precincts of Congress. He's the Speaker.

I've made an argument several years back that the Congress could probably hold a trial and execute someone ~ although it's unlikely they would do so for anything less serious than treason. Someone might come up with a set of the Rules of the House and the Rules of the Senate and read them expansively to see just how bad it is.
