Roughly 3% of the population is either in prison, on parole or on probation. That’s at any given time, not counting the convicted criminals who are not in any of the above categories. If the authorities haven’t been tracking felons who are no longer in the system, just keeping track of current ones will be a challenge. Palm Beach County has 1.3m inhabitants. Its share of felons could be as large as 13,000 people, assuming no felon moves in from outside the county. Without a full time staffer or a national database, I don’t see how this gets taken care of. They could make voting by felons punishable with a 10 year prison term, but that would probably create the political impetus for restoring felon voting rights.

There is a database and Florida (and others) are attempting to use it to clean up the voter rolls. It comes from none other than DHS.

So Holder is attempting to prevent states from using a Federal Government database to make sure only eligible individuals vote.

DHS fought for some time but eventually released the database but not before the timing between a primary election and the cleaning of the voter rolls became an issue. DHS and that racist Holder wanted to make sure that the database could not be used prior to the primary. If they had held out a few months longer they could have put the general election into turmoil and given the legal battles Just-Us is pursuing, they might very well prevent purging the rolls of ineligible voters before the November election and certainly will do their best to prevent any Voter ID initiatives from taking place.
