he lost his job as a result of the media exposure and lies

And what job was that? Everthing I've read has led me to believe that he was unemployed at the time of the shooting.

Why was it such huge news 3 weeks after it happened?

The professional aggrievance industry needed a fund raiser for 2012. The PAI board met on March 1 and decided this would work.

It’s worked so well, they now use trash cans instead of collection baskets to fund raise.

Give me a break!

Over and over again it has been stated here that the Z's didn't lie when they stated they had no money .... that the money donated was for 'legal defense' only, so they omitted mentioning it. I would consider the bailbondsman and the lawyers and the Circuit Court as 'legal' monies. I would not consider loan repayments to mom and tution fees 'legal' monies.

Whatever . . .

“He was employed as an insurance underwriter prior to the shooting[56] and was in his final semester at Seminole State College for an Associates degree in Criminal Justice.[57] His goal was to become a police officer.[58]”

Going after the wife hasn’t played well.

Nor should it, that's basically state gangsterism being directed against a young married couple for a base cause.

That's not true. You must be thinking about some other website.

Everywhere on this forum posters have said over and over again that they understood by the request that the donations would go for two things: living expenses and legal expenses. Outstanding bills are a part of living expenses.

Take it up with Wiki or the Orlando Sentinel.

Actually, tbe guy’s wife was revealed to be either less than 100% truthful about their finances...or not competent as to knowing assets being provided by the public for Georges defence counted the same for certain court paperwkrk as money they had had all along.

So we can take from this that you have not read the unedited court transcript where she told the judge that she didn’t know exactly how much was in the account and offered to call her BIL who would know, and the judge said she didn’t need to.

So it’s just fine and dandy that she “forgot” to mention the more than one-hundred-thousand dollars she moved from account to account in the days immediately before the bond hearing?

The court was not lied to during the bail hearing. Zimmerman’s wife stated she did not know how much was in the Paypal account, but that her brother in-law did. Considering how the court has conducted its self, one can’t blame her. The amount was constantly changing and if she were off by $5, it’s not inconceivable that she would have been charged her. If the Paypal account was important to the bail hearing all the court had to do was contact the brother in-law.

I am far more concerned with the lies of the prosecution and what it “forgot” than the victims of this vendetta. Keep your eye on the ball.

His old web site clearly stated the donations would be used for living expenses and legal defense.

As does his new web site:
The money donated here will be used for George Zimmerman's ongoing living expenses, legal costs, and fees for this matter.

The media doing a story on the effectiveness of the media’s manipulation of the public?

Sure: Military organizations do post-combat reconnaissance all the time. BDA: "Battle Damage Assessment". It's basic.

Like Newsweek setting up a weekly poll in 1995 to provide a steady flow of BDA on the journalists' hate-attack on the Republican Congress after the 1994 election. You remember that one? That's exactly what that was. They were measuring Newt's negatives and the GOP's negatives continuously, and judging what worked and what didn't, and adjusting their propaganda campaign accordingly. Worked.

“The question is, why was it made such a huge news story?”

Because: A) the supposed perp was “white,” B) the supposed victim was unarmed and a photogenic black youth, and C) gun-grabbers don’t like Stand Your Ground and mistakenly thought it applied.

What I wonder is why the lag between the event and the story breaking nationally? Despite the distance between me and the hardcore leftist media (and I’m talking DU and Al Gore’s crappy tv network here, not MSNBC) I noticed it percolating in the intervening months. It might have been Jackson/Sharpton’s grandstanding. Maybe it was higher-ups. Who knows?

“I think the images bear out it’s a pretty even battle, in terms of body size and mass,” Irby said. “But you know, Skittles versus a gun, there’s no fairness in that alignment.”

Yeah, Martin may have got Zimmerman on the back of the head, but Zimmerman got his licks in on Martin’s knuckles. So it all evens out./s

“They understand, in a way that whites do not, what racial profiling is and how dangerous it can be, he said.”

Do blacks think that if “white” people profile them they (the supposed white people, that is) lose the right to assert self-defense? Because if that’s the case then it’s not a matter of perspective. Black people would be wrong, is all.

Let's not forget that Martin also had with him a full unopened can of watermelon drink. Anyone who ever got hit in the head from a full can of anything knows the damage that it can do.
