Republican Mitt Romney paused Saturday during a campaign bus stop in Pennsylvania to touch base with Christian conservatives.
Obama's health care plan "attacks freedoms" and "raising taxes attacks freedoms," Romney said. The Obama administration's decision on contraceptive coverage "attacks our first freedom - religious freedom," he said.
He credited former rival Rick Santorum with touting three "best predictors" for happiness and good finances: be married, graduate from high school and get a job.
Santorum, a return visitor to the Coalition conference, said he has "no doubt" Romney understands the "centrality of family."
The former Pennsylvania senator urged the audience to help Romney win.

Bull. They manipulated the caucus reporting in Iowa. They manipulated rules in Virginia (at least) to eliminate competition. They endorsed, or financed for all I know, the Obamney's slash and burn primary campaign. Now they want me to enthusiastically support this libtard Masshole? Keep wishing.
How is four years of, either, Obama, or Romney healthy for the long-term future of U.S. conservatism? The only major political candidates left for ‘12 POTUS are, both, leftists, and the U.S. is in for some more, major “hurting”, with either one as POTUS! Mitt’s ego is way too big to listen to and then, actually, act upon all that conservatives, really, want Mitt to do as POTUS, and having conservatives attempt to “hold Mitt’s feet to the fire”, in order to make Mitt into a, truly, conservative POTUS won’t work. The U.S. will become a third world, socialistic country, soon enough, unfortunately, but, please prove me wrong.

What was he looking to - in 07/08 when he did the same thing - campaigning and trying to convince voters mitt was conservative. Santorum is doing the right thing.
He realizes that, whatever differences he may have with Romney, that Romney is infinitely better for the country than Obama.

His recent actions have made it pretty clear that he cannot.

I went from Sarah, to Perry and then reluctantly to Gingrich... reluctantly because I didn’t think Newt could win because he has no ability to keep his mouth shut when he should.
Mitt Romney was nominated by a vote of the people and I think we ended up with the candidate we need to beat Obama.
He’s definitely not put a foot wrong since the nomination and if he does half of what he promises, we’ll be a thousand times better off than under Obama.
And I do believe he understands and promotes the private sector. His stance about energy alone will improve the economy.
