“...are actually on video conceding their own support for some sort of “path to citizenship” for illegals...”

::::::::::::::::::

I would be careful not to confuse “path to citizenship” with amnesty. They are very different since with amnesty, there is no path. Also presently, we have a path to citizenship — by OBEYING THE FEDERAL LAWS to become a citizen as many have. Something many politicians do not want to dirty their hands with and just sweep it under the rug. Just not politically expedient for the Washington elites. Just look at how this has been handled by those that have supported amnesty for expediency. And now, we have a president that is advocating the breaking of federal law to pander for the Hispanic vote.

Until the law breakers are removed from power, and respect for our Constitution, our federal immigration laws, and our soverignty are restored, will this issue ever find a reasonable and just solution for all concerned -— especially the TRUE AMERICAN CITIZEN who is the real victim of this insanity and crime.

“path to citizenship” as proposed by many is nothing more than amnesty.

To me, (unlike to many others who support it) a “path to citizenship” is path back home to your own nation and you get into the end of the line at the US Embassy behind those who who have been in line trying for the American VISA the legal way.

To others “path to citizenship” only means register here in the US and at some point after you're done filling out all the paper work, take a short vacation to your nation, visit the US Emabassy, skip ahead of those already in line waiting and get these papers signed. By the way, bring a few relatives back with you. After all, you're an American now so you can legally sponsor them.
