Weasel words from the Governor who repeatedly “warned” his gardeners about hiring illegals.

Even though I disagree with the entire issue, Romney did it right. He basically neutralized Obama’s attempt to differentiate himself from Romney on the question of a long term solution to the disaster created by our dysfunctional government that places politics before the will of America’s REAL citizens and the law.

Regardsless of the pre-election politics that are being played here, the issue will have to be addressed if Obama is thrown out, and America can clean up its fiscal priorities, due to the cost to the American taxpayer to support illegals which is HUNDREDS OF BILLIONS per year (all aspects and impacts of illegals) — a staggering sum.

As with most other ‘problems’ facing America, today, all that is needed is to ENFORCE the CURRENT LAWS on the books.

For this one:
1. Secure the border
2. Arrest and deport
3. Arrest those aiding and abetting the insurgency
4. Repeat from step 1

It ain’t rocket science...

Willard is just kowtowing to the GOPe. The GOPe likes their cheap Meh-hican labour. Shamnesty has no place in US law. It’s racism. This is a LOSING issue.

“In response to President Barack Obama’s changed position on the issue”

This was a calculated move by Odinga-Obama to stay in office.

He will do anything to stay in power, including selling out unemployed Americans.

How many unemployed Americans will *still* be stupid enough to vote for Bammy?

All Romney had to say was "We are a Nation of Laws, and the laws that are currently on the books say that if you are in this country illegally, if you are working in this country illegally, you are in VIOLATION of the law, and those who are aiding and abetting such lawbreakers are equally guilty and should be arrested, prosecuted and convicted if found guilty in a court of law. We have the highest sustained unemployment in decades, and the current administration doesn't have a clue which is why our economy continues to circle the toilet. Giving amnesty to illegals by executive fiat is a slap in the face to every unemployed American, and Mr. 0bama should be ashamed of himself, except that he has already demonstrated that he is without shame."

Unfortunately, Romney would have to actually be a conservative (and, to have some actual BALLS), to utter such words.

Pardon me while I don't hold my breath waiting for that.

A careful, political-astute response from both Romney and Rubio.

They don't praise Obama's usurpation of congressional authority in any way but instead condemn it as a 'short-term solution' to the 'immigration problem'. A mild criticism, at best but one that keeps their options open so that if there is a huge backlash on this, Romney/Rubio can hammer Obama all day long on this action. However, if the polls show citizens approve of this (I hope not), they cannot be accused of being anti-immigrant and their tepid disapproval now won't be an issue in the campaign.

Weak? You bet - but they're politicians, not crusaders and certainly not conservatives. Still, no matter how calculated, it's not a bad response. Let's hope the opposition to this latest Obama outrage is big and sustained, as it should be.

My concern is that all the media blather about how 'humane' and 'compassionate' this partial, de facto amnesty is will resonate with the gullible public that won't stop to consider the very negative ramifications making millions of illegal aliens 'legal' will have on our economy, culture and politics. They'll find out - too late.

Best way to get a message to Romney would be to completely dump on Rubio...completely dump on Rubio.

This is code for romney and rubio wanting amnesty. That’s my take anyway. So that issue is almost a wash between and obama — except apparently they at least believe congress should provide the legislaton rather than an E0.

Gee, what is this, the 51st time this has been posted in the last 36 hours?

Yah think someone here might NOT have heard or read about Mittens having screwed the pooch on this issue so why not throw it up here ONE MORE TIME?

Yeah, so Romney is a flip-flopping, RINO, wuss who I'd rather not have as our candidate, BUT as we are stuck with him, what do you suggest we do? Stay home? Write in someone else's name?

Why not just encourang all to vote directly for the FASCIST Dear Leader and be over it???

First step: secure the border

Step two: if these folks who claim to love this country and want to be a part of it should go to the nearest immigration office and begin the. Aturalizatoon process as millions before them have. If they don’t want to do this back home they go.

The longer they are here the sooner the rats will find a way to have them voting.

Romney agrees with Rubio on immigration policy: ‘We have to find a long-term solution’

Yeah, Mitt, there just has to be one somewhere, if you just look hard enough. What COULD it be? Enforcing the law? Naw - don't be ridiculous. But what? What could it be?
