ATF Death Watch 161: Attorney General Eric Holder Knows Nothing. WaPo and NYT Also(murdergate)
The Truth About Guns ^ | 9 June, 2012 | Robert Farago

Posted on 06/09/2012 5:39:54 PM PDT by marktwain

The Attorney General of United States testified under oath that he doesn’t know when he knew that the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives had ”gone rogue.” Because, after all, Mr. Holder would never have approved tactics whereby the ATF provided Mexican cartel members with illegally purchased firearms without keeping track of said guns. Nor would other members of the Obama administration. Aside from the ones who did. Whom the AG can’t identify (other than Arizona agents at the sharp end). Who may or may not have told Administration official what they were up to either before but definitely after (at some unknown point) the death of U.S. Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry at the hands of drug thugs wielding ATF-enabled weapons. In other words, the AG is stonewalling. Again. Still. Big time. So what happens next? Well . . .

The Fast and Furious scandal is not going away—despite an attempt by the White House to end-run the Congressional investigation. Obama’s Boyz have been playing kissy-face with Republican Speaker of the House John Boehner.

Facing the looming prospect that Congress will hold AG Holder in contempt for his refusal to cooperate with the House Oversight Committee, some kind of deal was in play. They can have these documents, not those. These guys fall on their sword but not these guys. That kind of thing.

Yeah that didn’t work out. The New York Times:

Last month, House Republican leaders — including Speaker John A. Boehner — sent Mr. Holder a letter about the subpoena, prompting staff-level talks between Mr. Holder’s office and House Republican leaders. A reply by Mr. Holder’s deputy praised the talks as constructive, and Mr. Holder expressed confidence on Thursday that they could “result in a mutually acceptable resolution.”

But Michael Steel, a spokesman for Mr. Boehner, said: “There have not been any substantive talks at all, or any response from the attorney general to the speaker. We are still waiting for accountability.”

If it wasn’t clear before, it is now: the only way the ATF, DHS, FBI, DEA, CIA, ICE, CPB, Justice Department and State Department will be held accountable for their “Guns And Grenades and Laundered Cash for Goons” programs and policies will be if Congress forces their illegal activities in the open.

Remembering that not one Administration official has been terminated for their role in Fast and Furious and other pro-cartel programs; including turning a blind eye to official gun sales seepage from the Mexican military and police to drug cartel members.

Keeping in mind [via arizonastar.com] that U.S. District Judge David Bury sealed the records of the government’s case against Manuel Osorio-Arellanes, the man accused using ATF enabled firearm to kill U.S. Border Patrol Agent Terry. And moved Osorio-Arellanes’ trial date to, get this, Nov. 6, 2012. Election day.

So it’s down to Representative Issa and Senator Grassley to expose the truth about the Obama administration’s Mexican gun, grenade and cash-walking ops. The Democrats insist that they’re on a witch hunt. Who cares? If not for these two men, even the possibility of justice would have died with Agent Terry on that lonely desert floor.

That said, the media could play a decisive role in this. You know; like the Washington Post and The New York Times did with Watergate. They could pursue Obama’s Boyz with all the relentless ferocity a well-funded American media company can bring to bear on men and women who believe they are above the law.

What are the odds?

It’s only a hunch, but the guns “sold” to Mexican drug families in Fast and Furious may have been paid for by drug money contributed to US political campaigns...

How many Mexicans and Americans and agents have to die to satisfy the blood lust Jarrett, 0bama, Holder, Hillary and Soros have for their own lies and our lives?

Our Republicans threw Nixon overboard over a 3rd rate burglary, but Obama gets to kill several hundred for a freebie. Issa, where are you and your all Caps email to Holder?

The odd of us ever finding out the truth are pretty slim.

Romney should be shoving this right up Obama’s butt.

Has anyone heard from Romney yet?

The best we can hope for out of a Romney administration is a slap on the wrist to be followed by the return of his security clearance. Just like Sandy Berger.

What we need is to take this sort of thing out of the hands of government and return it to the people. Congressional hearings find scapegoats, dirt, and deals.

Like anything else in politics, follow the money. If the DOJ and the ATF have gone “rogue” so to speak, then it would follow that a US federal agency was allowed to go rogue deliberately by a controlling authority. This would be considered negligence on the part of the federal government, and would call for dissolution of said agencies, along with a no faith vote of the government's ability to enforce it's own regulations. What it boils down to is if our elected officials refuse to do what we elected them to do, for personal profit or gain through subterfuge, then they must suffer the consequences.

I’ve long thought that pouring weapons to the drug cartels wasn’t really about gun control, as many believe. Oh, that could be a nice side benefit to the Obama thugs, but I believe the real reason is that Holder, Obama and Company got big contributions for it, because the cartels have money, and lots of it. And to trade some of it for weapons and a “blind eye” towards the border would be good business policy for them. We should never underestimate the corruption of Obama and Holder.

The Republicans who took on Nixon were lauded and praised by the MSM as being courageous and patriotic. Republicans who take on Obama are labeled as racist and partisan.

It takes no courage for a Democrat or a Republican to advance the "progressive" agenda, they are praised by the MSM and encouraged. If they go against the agenda, or do not help in the cover-up, they are villified and the MSM works very hard to destroy them.

Politicians are media creatures. They depend on the media to get them elected and reelected. Our job is to build enough new media so that the MSM no longer has the power to destroy patriots and to cover up the scandals of the left.

Keep kicking this can down the road until after the fraud leaves the WH so Holder will not have his buddie to pardon him if convicted. I say we need a commission to investigate all involved across the board. This is one of many purposley engineered crisis all working in conjunction with the criminals in charge, in an attempt to overthrow the US. Let me us the word again TREASON. If we do nothing we are just as guilty, it will be accepted and common practice and shame on us it will happen again.

“Given these realities, attorney Mark Conrad, a former supervisory special agent with U.S. Customs, ICE’s predecessor agency, speculates that the Mayan Express operation is not controlled by ICE at all, but is, in fact, a CIA-run operation using ICE as a cover. He adds that the CIA has agents operating inside many federal law enforcement agencies utilizing what is known as an “official cover.”

The former ICE agent who spoke with Narco News about the Beech 200 also suspects CIA is running the show in these drug plane operations. He says ICE is a perfect vehicle for the CIA because it can provide the Agency with a free pass through U.S. ports of entry.

“All an ICE agent has to do is make a call and the cargo will be cleared through the checkpoint,” he says.

Journalist and author Doug Valentine recently revealed the inner workings of these CIA cover methods within DEA in a story he penned for Counterpunch.

From Valentine’s story:

By 1977, some 125 “former” CIA officers had been infiltrated into the DEA at every level of the organization, especially in intelligence units, making everything possible— from black market arms exchanges, to negotiations with terrorists, to political assassination. It also put the CIA in total control of targeting.

Leutrell Osborne, a former CIA case officer, told Narco News essentially the same thing when he conveyed his concern about the merging of spook and law enforcement agendas.”

“But in this case, capture is not the goal, and the targets are the leaders of these hyper-violent, independent splinter groups that have sprung up in the wake of the shakeup, via capture or killing, in the leadership of the major cartels — with the Sinaloa organization, it seems, being protected from a fatal attack on its leadership.”

US Weapons “Walked” Into Mexico Under ATF Operation Supplied Firepower for Juarez Bloodbath

A top enforcer for the Sinaloa drug organization and his army of assassins in Juarez, Mexico — responsible for a surge in violence in that city that has led to thousands of deaths in recent years — may well have been supplied hundreds, if not thousands, of weapons through an ill-fated US law-enforcement operation known as Fast and Furious...

But it is clear, based on the media reports and Mexican government press statements about Marrufo, that, prior to his arrest earlier this year, he was a “high-level ‘plaza boss,’” for the Sinaloa organization in Juarez and that he has clearly been connected to weapons that were smuggled across the border into Juarez as part of Fast and Furious. And it also seems probable, according to the Congressional and media reports, that alleged FBI informant Miramontes Varela was a major “financier for” Fast and Furious weapons purchases, weapons that eventually landed in the hands of the Sinaloa “Cartel’s” enforcers in Juarez.

okay..this isn’t funny..but I laughed anyway at the irony

http://narcosphere.narconews.com/notebook/bill-conroy/2012/04/human-rights-defender-kerry-kennedy-detained-threatened-mexican-militar

Also accompanying Kennedy, president of the Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice and Human Rights, was Mexican human-rights defender Abel Barrera as well as a team of lawyers — who attempted to point out to the military-unit commander that the soldiers were violating Mexican law, but to no avail.

“We were stopped, harassed, threatened and detained by eight soldiers in battle fatigues brandishing automatic weapons,” Kennedy writes in a recent op/ed penned for the Inter Press Service, in which she recounts her experience.

But Kennedy and her daughter, this past weekend, were spared the fate of assassination at the hands of a drug-war enabled, power-drunk Mexican military squad, possibly armed with US-supplied weapons and bullets. She and her daughter, and their traveling party, after a half hour of nail-biting agony, were allowed through the Mexican military checkpoint and went on to visit the shrine of the Virgin of Guadalupe.
