I’d like to see all voter rolls purged every 10 years or so and you have to go and provide ID to re-register.

Here in the State of KS, we had substantial problems and our Republican Sec'y of State pretty much refused to do anything and his office told me on more than one occasion, when I reported that more than three families were registered in a number of homes (a few of the couples had died, moved to retirement homes and moved out of state entirely.)

I was told by that same office that in the case of deceased voters, "they needed to notify the Secretary of State's Office" so that they could move forward to remove their names from the rolls, otherwise, that office was not going to remove their names!

I asked the lady answering the phone, if she didn't consider it a bit difficult for those who were deceased to notify their office to remove their names from the polls. She paused a while, then answered, they weren't able to arbitrarily remove people's names unless they had been first notified that the person was no longer registered in the area.

Fortunately, our new Secretary of State, Kris Kobach, has forcefully moved forward to remove names when they mail out post cards to an address and they are returned for "no longer living at that address."

As people do move from area to area as well as state to state, keeping the polls up to date is a challenge, that's exactly why the state employees a staff to do just that!
