LANSING, Mich.—A group seeking to recall Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder announced Thursday that it has ended the effort following Gov. Scott Walker's victory in Wisconsin's recall election. The group called Michigan Rising said it would stop collecting signatures, noting it already was short of its own gathering goals. Instead, the group said it will focus on a long-term effort to form a progressive think tank, develop progressive leaders and support current progressive legislators.

Ha ha...every time I saw these fools out collecting signatures with an umbrella and card table set up, I honked and send the one-finger salute. Screw ‘em.

“noting it already was short of its own gathering goals.”

They should have done what the Wisconsin Dims did, sign up entire cemetaries and post the fact they were doing it online.

What pathetic losers.

Let's hope they end the recall attempt against the mayor of Troy. (She turned down federal dollars and says the homosexual lifestyle is dangerous)

This makes me sad. When it started, there were a couple of people trying to take signatures by a busy intersection. The corner of West and Allen road for some of the Michigan folk who know the city of Woodhaven. They sat down and only once did I ever see them actually talking to anybody and they could have been just talking to another signature taker. It was kind of fun to watch them sitting there, farting in the wind.

They sent a lot of money to WI. The unions put it all on Red in the political roulette game and lost.

They can’t get the signatures and/or the funding to recall the MI Governor that is getting the state turned around.

Yeah, I did that once. Just gave them the finger, no honking. I think they saw it.

Heh heh. Bring it on.

Impotent seething will just make them even more susceptible for dumber moves.

Like Boortz explained last night. they confused recall signatures for being the same as votes against Walker.

Many people will sign anything if they know it will get some jackass off their porch and insure they don’t get their windows smashed or tires slashed. Unless the stooge can follow you into the booth to see how you vote, it matters not.

Another reason unions are against secret ballots.

Instead, the group said it will focus on a long-term effort to form a progressive think tank, develop progressive leaders and support current progressive legislators.

When asked, the parents of the group members expressed a desire that the group focus on getting paying jobs, and moving out of their basements.

LOL!! Unfortunately the permanent odor of "hemp" and unfortunate choices in "body art" will limit their job prospects.

What has the Michigan governor done to tweak the lefties (besides merely existing)? Has he gone as far as Walker in limiting union bargaining?

No, Snyder has not gone near as far as Walker, but he did start taxing private pensions (read UAW). Michigan *was* one of only a handful that did not tax retirees’ pensions.

Other than that I cannot recall any other issues.

Clearly not near as much as Mr. Walker, but there is this.

(This is my first link posting, so fingers crossed that it works.)

Rick Snyder has signed what has been sent to his desk. Beyond that he hasn’t really initiated any fights with the union and even warned Mitt Romney to avoid fighting with them.
