Because they were thinking long term?
Because they're worried about their children's futures?
Because they realize the gravy train can't run forever?
Because they secretly desipise their union?
Because what's right isn't the same as what's easy?
Because there's a difference between selfishness and self-interest?
I'm a union member and a conservative voter. Some things are more important than my own comfort.
Thank you
‘Special Ed’ SFB (sh*t for brains) speaks...
Excellent questions in your comments.
Special Ed doesn’t “get” much of anything, apparently.
To which union does Ed Schultz belong?
what an A******.
I’d love to see special Ed go up against Terry Bowman who leads the Union Conservatives group here in Michigan.
Bowman is pro private sector union, pro right to work, anti card check and has testified on capitol hill against union political fundraising.
The Democrats have been perplexed by the same question for years:
“What’s wrong with Kansas?”
The question as they see it is, why do people who could collect from a socialist agenda vote Republican?
The answer, which has totally escaped them is - morals.
Moral people won’t vote to take a share of stolen goods.
Thanks for the clarity. The Left sees people as simple parts or pieces. In their cloudy little minds, a union member is a one-dimensional piece in the grand leftist world who has only one role to play. It never occurs to them that people are complex individuals who have varied interests and unique priorities.
Ed Schultz is paid $200,000 a year by various unions to be their shill. What would anyone expect him to say?
Liberalism, is really a mental disorder.
Good post, Ed Schultz was almost in tears last night over a poll showing thar 37% of WI union members or their families voted for Walker, he kept asking them why they would do that to themselves.
Why???
Ed, Those are the taxpayers who don’t work for government who want their schools and libraries open rather than closed with government employees getting more $$$. WI voters woke up and realized that they are the 50% who pay the bills.
So Ed in his wisdom thinks taxpayers should fund union perks and pensions far beyond what the taxpayers get for themselves. That it’s okay state budgets are in disarray because union pensions have become a huge financial burden on their budget. That corporations should be taxed higher so those taxes can be passed on to the consumer in increased costs of products and services. That those evil rich people who reinvest in their business or just invest in the economy should be punished for their success. That liking your guns and your God is bad. This guy is disgusting but any sane American knows that.
...because some union members have seen what happens to workers in socialist countries. Because some union members have seen what is happening in Greece. Because some union members resent the hate-soaked intimidation that keeps them from daring to question the union. Because some union members don’t like being forced to work hard only to have their pay confiscated for the union. Because some union members see their non-union buddies becoming successful and living high as free employees or business owners. Because some union members resent their coworkers who slack off or behave badly but still keep their job and get paid the same. Because some union workers wish they would be rewarded for working harder than their slacker coworkers. Because some union workers see what union pay does to motivation and work ethic. Because some union workers resent their dues going to corrupt political party members instead of service to the union members. Because some union members love freedom and love America.
Near the end of Crazy Ed's monologue, he said that the union should discuss at their "war table" this problem of members voting for Republicans.
"War table?"
Really, Crazy Ed?
That kind of rhetoric gets politicians shot. Or so you said a couple of years ago.
servo, there’s nothing I could add to your excellent post.
Would that more Americans had your perspective.
Its a pity that more people don’t see Ed Schultz on a regular basis. He is the real face of the Democratic Party. If people actually saw and heard these bizarre goons, doubt they would vote for them.
Just another variation of “shut up and listen to me, because I know how to run your life better than you do” that liberals are so fond of falling back on.
The public sector unions increasing threaten to bankrupt the states, and force people to choose between the republic and the unions.
Ben Franklin said "A republic, if you can keep it."
Some of us will choose to keep it. Schulz and his ilk sold his souls too long ago to be able to understand that any more.
Let’s not get too excited about Shultz’s comments.
One of his viewers was high on heroin.
And the other one was smoking dope.
