I’m sorta lost this morning, too.
Only way to ride two horses at once (unless you hitch ‘em to a wagon) is to put a foot on each horse’s back.
That puts the guy gender in a....shall we say problematic position if the horses don’t stay together or go around things wrong.
(Saw somebody do that very thing twenty years ago, and it still gives me the shivers. BTW, he recovered from that triumph, but I don’t think he’s gone near a horse since that day.)
