Vote 'Aye' and It's Bye-Bye, Netanyahu Tells Ministers
Arutz Sheva ^ | 5/6/12 | Gil Ronen

The Prime Minister's Bureau has contacted all ministers and deputy ministers and made clear that the government opposes the proposed Regulation Law that will come up for a vote Wednesday.

The law would make it possible to compensate land owners who were wronged in construction of communities in Judea and Samaria, without having to hand over the land or tear down homes built upon it.

Channel 2 News reported that Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's men made clear to the ministers and deputies that if any of them vote in favor of the Regulation Law, they will be fired from the government.

The main brunt of the threat is directed toward Minister of Diaspora and Public Affairs Yuli Edelstein and Minister of Science and Technology Daniel Hershkowitz, who are the only two ministers who have not flinched in stating their intention to support the law.

In addition, Likud deputy ministers Ayoub Kara and Gila Gamliel also stated Tuesday that they would support the law even if they pay a political price.

It is not clear how Yisrael Beytenu's ministers will vote, in view of the fact that Kadima's recent entry into the coalition has changed the balance of power....

Vote for it. Pass it into law. So you'll be out of the cabinet for now. Big deal. You'll have street cred, and that will pay big dividends after Bibi finally falls from power.

If they were just following British common and equity law, they’d have the Doctrine of Laches. If they were just following Turkish statute, they’d have the Land Reform Act of 1861. But instead, they have what ever idea enters the head of High Court judges recently, and the only weapon against that, the Knesset, is supposed to lie idle in the hands of a supposedly right wing PM.

I’d say to the ministers, vote for it, and to hell with your Cabinet post. Vote against it, and you’re both an accomplice to ethnic self-cleansing, and a whore. Vote for it, and you’re a hero dismissed from an unworthy government.

Netanyahu Decides: Evacuate, Move Beit El’s Ulpana Neighborhood
http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/156456#.T85-rdWolRE

“”What will strengthen the settlement is settlement construction,” Netanyahu was quoted as saying. “For each demolished home, we will build 10 new ones.”

The Prime Minister emphasized that a bill to legalize the structures could expose the entire settlement enterprise of Judea and Samaria (Yehuda and Shomron, or “Yesha”) to international criticism.

The bill would block expulsion of Jews from their homes on land that is not contested by any Arab landowner within four years of construction on the site.

At a briefing Saturday evening Netanyahu examined the issues dealing with the engineering and structures. The Prime Minister remarked that if a solution cannot be found to similar cases in the future, there will be no other choice but to go ahead with such a bill – despite warnings by lawmakers that the government is bound by the ruling of the High Court to evacuate Jews who build on land contested by Arabs who file ownership claims.”

What I saw on the front page was that these ministers will be absent.

“Bibi finally falls from power.”

Bibi has shown Israel how to have guts in their fight against the world, while the rest of Israel’s “leaders” will lead that country to its destruction at the hands of its Islamic enemies. Cowards.

Whether they get rid of Bibi or not( and I hope not) Israel is just too small as it is to keep slicing and dicing the pie. Prayers for Israel, my family over there.

Granted, the rest of the “leaders” are cowards. But Bibi is one, too. Destroying long-established hitnahaluyot (”settlements”) just because somebody with a kefiya shows up and claims it’s his and the Begatz (High Court) is stupid enough to simply take his word without any investigation, is worse than cowardice. It will lead us to civil war, and then the Arabs will simply come in and take whatever they want and murder everyone. The American Revolution was fought at least in part over property rights. The Jewish revolution against the Mandate was fought over the right to immigrate during a time of massive persecution and settle the land. Two of those three factors are being assaulted here, not by Islamists or Arabs, but by the Israeli government, and Bibi’s fine with that. There are several real leaders who would make a good replacement.

From “Geert Wilders IFA Friends” ...

‘Peace Now’ [group] Upset that Beit El [settlement] will Grow
http://www.facebook.com/GW.IFA/posts/113349565472838

GWIFA: Once again, we see the need for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to form one of the largest ruling government coalitions in Israeli history by combining Likud and Kadima in the same coalition. It was a stroke of genius by Netanyahu. Now the ‘radicals’ on the left and on the right - can no longer threaten to cause the “government to fall” ... because someone is going to pull out of the government coalition.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has once again shown his political prowess by governing for the majority of the Israelis and not governing “for the radical factions” ...

Whether they’re on the radical left or the radical right - they’re BOTH aiming shots at Netanyahu ... :-)

Quote from the article ...
Hardline nationalist MKs were upset with the Knesset vote Wednesday against the Regulation Law, but leftists were not happy with the prime minister’s promises to build 300 more homes in Beit El.

MK Aryeh Eldad (National Union) said angrily: “The Likud’s true nature has once yet been exposed. It talks loudly about the settlement enterprise but at the same time saws at its foundations.”

“The Likud ministers have turned out to be cowards who prefer to run away or surrender in the face of the prime minister’s threat to fire them, rather than stand behind their commitments and principles,” he accused.

Deputy Knesset Speaker MK Danny Danon (Likud) said: “The state of Israel is beginning to pay the price of the wedding with Kadima. The nation of Israel chose Likud, the nation of Israel voted for the national camp’s program. It did not elect Barak or vote for dismantling communities.”

“Peace Now and the radical left are advancing their radical agendas through court motions instead of persuading the public in the polling booth,” he added.

Peace Now itself, however, was not happy at all with the commitment by Netanyahu to build 300 more homes in Beit El, and was quick to start an online petition calling on him to rescind what they called “a collective punishment” that he has meted out against Israel’s citizens.

“We understand the prime minister’s wish to punish the Peace Now movement to in order to ‘mark the guilty’ and mollify the settler leadership, but collective punishment that will cost the citizens of Israel hundreds of millions of shekels is not fair, not right and unacceptable,” the movement’s petition stated, as if those 300 families would not need homes no matter where they lived.

Herod was a brilliant politician, too. So was Huey Long and Adolf. Being a brilliant politician is not a virtue.
