KEYWORDS: turkey
Supposedly an American soldier touring around some part of Turkey is jumped by members of a Turkish Nationalist group and attack him.

Why anyone would visit a fetid sh*thole like Turkey, and alone, is beyond me.

I think you will find that he is stationed there and out to see some of the country. I spent 18 very long months stationed in Turkey.

My son, whenhe was in the Marines, was on a ship travelling to Afghanistan and they had a stopover in Turkey. He did a little touring, but not too much. But he had to go with two other Marines, and they were not to separate. They would not be allowed back aboard the ship without the other two Marines.

BTW when he was over there he stopped in one of the shops to buy some socks and paid with his debit card. My husband’s name was also on the bank account associated with that particular debit card. My husband got a call from the bank asking if he had made any large purchases in Turkey, and he told them he didn’t, but that he would check with his son who was in Turkey. My son said he bought only socks, but the purchases were several expensive silk shirts, and other such items. It seems they swiped his card and somehow was able to read his PIN. Thankfully, after my husband explained that my son was on active duty heading to Afghanistan and that he did not make the purchases, the bank cancelled the card and did not charge him for the illegal shirts.

You can thank the Democratic Party and the US press for this

A very few years ago it was wonderful to visit Istanbul. It was a welcoming place. Propaganda from US and affiliated media has changed that, making Turkey less safe for American travelers. This can be laid directly at the feat of the leftist media.
