Buy two smaller drinks and combine them to make a larger drink.

Isn't it about time for Bloomy to be gone????

Pass the law....then we'll fet one million people strung ened to end with a 32 oz soda and ARREST US. That will show the world just how "stuck on stupid" our government has become.

Don't kid yourslef....Obama and Michelle are behind this.

take away the gun. They’ll use a knife.

take away the soda, they’ll use a hamburger.

you can’t force people to be skinny.

Why don’t Coke, Pepsico, Frito-Lay and a few others combine forces and squash Bloomy like a bug? They could if they wanted to.

Is there something wrong with the people of New York City that they need Mike to be their nanny? What’s up with that?

“Forget about 64-ounce stomach-busting sodas at KFC. Even 20-ounce Snapples are on Mayor Bloomberg’s latest heath-conscious hit list.”

Complete objectivity once again from the CommieMedia.

A large doughnut is 395 calories.

A 16 oz coke is 220 calories.

So, we should ban doughnuts as a public health hazard.

OK Liberals...you wanna ban items because of the health impact on people AND the added costs to our health care system? Well, then let’s ban GAY SEX.... do you realize the health risks that are associated with that type of behavior and the COST BURDEN on health insurance: http://www.catholiceducation.org/articles/homosexuality/ho0075.html

Nanny Bloomberg sez:

"If you don't eat yer meat, you can't have any pudding.
How can you have any pudding if you don't eat yer meat?"

"You! Yes, you behind the bikesheds, stand still laddy!"

“Stores that don’t downsize would face fines of $200”

...and there it is. What it’s really about...money. They couldn’t care less about anybody’s health. It’s all about collecting fees & taxes. Surprised they don’t call it a “sin” tax like they do on cigs & alcohol.

I wanna know who’s going to enforce this. Larger-than-16oz drinks are ok as long as they’re diet, so the cups will remain. I come to the counter with a 64oz “soda” - what’re they gonna do? Maybe part of the 0ne’s jobs programs - food police for NYC.

Nothing unsual here, the effette despot does this every week. Issues a new decree banning something or ordering the people to do something. Like I wrote many times on Freep, New York city is run completely under despotism now, but that’s what you get when a rich liberal from Assachussets poses as a Republican and is elected..

Wherever and whenever a soda is sold, require every customer to take and pass a blood-sugar level test. Problem solved.

You could apply the same logic to salt levels, cholesterol levels, etc. If you don't pass the test, you don't get to eat.

It would be so much better for the country if the government prohibited people from poor dietary choices. Think of how better off people's lives would be.

Is this where the nanny state would like to take us?

So people will just order two or three drinks to begin with. There are so many ways around this it’s laughable.
Perhaps Bloomy needs to go back to running undercover gun sales stings here in Ohio.

What is really funny about this: everybody know that after you order the double bacon cheese burger with large fries, the beverage of choice is always a DIET Coke!

“We¹re not taking away your right to buy soda -— in the supermarket which we don¹t regulate you can still buy a 32-oz can full sugar drink or bottle,” Mayor Michael Bloomberg said Thursday. “But in a restaurant, they can¹t serve more than 16 oz in anyone cup. You¹re free to say I want two 16 oz cups. All the studies show that if the portion put before you is bigger, you will eat dramatically more than if the portion put before you is smaller. So, we¹re trying to encourage people to live longer.”

I heard he wants you think about what you are doing. Then why not put restraint on alcohol served? And let us not mention abortion.

We know most people drink more soda at home in a year than a outside places so this will accomplish nothing. He wants you to think about it.
