Police in Enterprise are looking for a Dothan man in connection with the robbery of a barber shop, which ended with the barber shop owner shooting the robbery suspect in the thigh.

According to information from Enterprise police, the incident happened around 7 p.m. Monday at Creative Hair Masters located at 2950 Rucker Boulevard. The barber shop owner told police that two men came into the shop and asked for haircuts. One of the men pulled out a semi-automatic handgun and demanded money and jewelry from the owner, who grabbed his own gun and fired at least one round at the robber, who was struck in the left thigh.

Police are now looking for Caleb Allen Pogue, 22, of 800 Oppert Road in Dothan, who police believe was the robber. He is a black male, 6 feet tall and weighs approximately 230 pounds.

The second suspect is a black male with dreadlock-type hair in his early twenties, 6 feet to 6 feet 1 inch tall, and weighs approximately 190 to 200 pounds.

Anyone with information about Pogue or the robbery can contact the Enterprise Police Department at (334) 347-2222.

Same county I grew up in. Don’t mess with people who have a statue of an insect in the middle of their town.

I didn't see any indication in the article that the barbershop owner was white. Thugs like those would rob a brutha just as quickly!

"Same county I grew up in."

I grew up in Dixie, AL Escambia county, not far from the Bowl Weavel.
The perp won't be hard to find. He will have a limp and won't need a haircut anytime soon.

Yep - two oversized thugs, also with a weapon, yet the good guy's access to his own equalized and tipped things in his favor. I'm betting that they felt so "powerful" that they hesitated while the Barber did not. That's the thing about being law-abiding; if you have to pull your weapon, it has usually already been decided that you need to pull the trigger.

I was driving to church last night and noticed a huge, hulking man loitering in front of a gas station - he looked like he was up to no good.

He had to have been at least 6’6” and a completely muscular 230 pounds in a wife-beater. If he were up to no good, he could have his way with just about anyone if he so decided.

Thank goodness for Missouri gun laws, which give us the chance to carry an equalizer!
