Roots of “racism”? One source has it as a Leon Trotsky invention. And how successful! Embraced by the entire political spectrum in the U.S. and now in Europe. Kumbaya, comrades.

Um, perhaps because race gives important information?

97% of blacks voted for Obama.

That’s reason alone to have issues with a group of people, however, unfair it is to the hero 3% like Allen West and Hermain Cain.

Ethnocentrism, good or bad, and present in every human society in history, is not this currently criminal “racism”.

First comes experience - things happen, and humans make value judgements about who was on the “good” and “bad side of what ‘our tribe’ experienced. “Our group” is initially quite small and identified by the easiest identifiers.

Then - comes experience; again, and again; and again - the long road of human history.

And gradually “our group” is less visibly identified, as experience refines our interpretation of who sees “good and bad” closest to how we do, gradually and inexorably finding “our group” in common values more than common physical appearance.

From all I have experienced in this lifetime in this country, issues that have often appeared as matters of ‘race’ have actually been (and should be recognized as) matters of culture; though often thought of at the time as “race” by many of those involved and many observers as well.

I’m frankly surprised to see many items like this in the media in the run up to this election. Sarcasm-off now.

Thanks neverdem.
Racial prejudice apparently stems from deep evolutionary roots and a universal tendency to form coalitions and favor our own side. And yet what makes a "group" is mercurial: In experiments, people easily form coalitions based on meaningless traits or preferences...
Hence the DNC.

“race” is simply a proxy for CULTURE.

Cultural differences are what separate us.
“Race” is simply an externally identifiable proxy to determine, with some accuracy, the behavioral tendencies of a person.

I noted the article mentioned “our evolutionary past”, and I knew the rest would be garbage. Starting with a false premise will rarely lead you to a reality-based conclusion.

If you want the reality, the “races” were formed after the people were scattered from Babel and humans adapted to the new environments in which they lived.

And humans adapted to their new environment how?

What physical mechanism allowed them to adapt to their new environment?

If that adaptation involved a change in the DNA of the population it was evolution by definition.

If that adaptation was accomplished through natural selection of genetic variations within that population then it was evolution via the mechanism described by Darwin.

What mechanism do you suggest accounts for the differences between human populations?

This should be amusing!!!!

When you’re “amused”, are you using your left hand or right?

Humans everywhere divide the world into "us" and "them."
Why are we so tribal?

This article and its 'research' is 100% bullsh*t.
Reason -- it was done by Psychologists, who aren't even real doctors. Yet they act is if they are one. [Psychologists were students who flunked out of J-School.(1)]

And Psychiatrists aren't much better. They're Doctors who couldn't stand the sight of blood in medical School. On the upside, at least they can write you an Rx for some cool drugs ;-)

(1) oh ... wait ... that's my 'tribal prejudice' showing. Shame on me.

You're alone in a dark alley late at night. Suddenly a man emerges from a doorway. If you are a typical white American and he is a young black man, within a few tenths of a second you will feel a frisson of fear as your brain automatically categorizes him. Your heart beats faster and your body tenses.

If 90% of the average police departments patrol budget was spent on patrolling Jewish neighborhoods, I would feel a 'frisson of fear' at the sight of a Jewish young man.

Underlying truths of dangerous situations often trump cultural and social lies put out by the liberal power Establishment...

It is odd they would run these stories now6, smaug... Could it be connected to helping their guy? Only an 'other' would think like that, so we must be careful...

I hope the MSM - in their wisdom, will encourage liberal white women to 'overcome' their fear of getting on an elevator with a rough looking group of black teens... especially in a parking garage situation... Only racist white woman would wait for a different elevator, right?

And for conservative women? For God's sake, trust your instincts....

LOL. I luv that 'meme' generating website. I just found it a couple days ago and made some pics of 'Alien Guy' with my own captions. Plus you can pull any pic off the web and use it, like I did with our 'Queen Michelle', aka: Bigfoot.

btw, I see you're a refugee from Lucianne too. Man I hated that Mod, Amy, what a ... witch. But I'm glad she booted me, that place started to really suck. Trolls spouting off lib nonsense and you couldn't respond - 'No Chatting boys', arrrrgh! FR beats it hands down 1010 times over.
