Democrats are dreading a Wisconsin wipeout
The Washington Post ^ | 05/21/12 | Jennifer Rubin

Posted on 05/21/2012 1:02:56 PM PDT by TonyInOhio

Given current polling, it is not surprising that Democrats in Wisconsin are freaking out. The Wall Street Journal reports: “With little more than two weeks until Wisconsin’s gubernatorial recall election, some Democratic and union officials quietly are expressing fears that they have picked a fight they won’t win and that could leave lingering injuries.” No one is bothering to claim a Scott Walker victory would be insignificant:

The election has taken on significance beyond Wisconsin state politics: Organized labor sees the battle as a major stand against GOP efforts to scale back collective-bargaining rights for public-sector workers, as Mr. Walker did after taking office in 2011. Some Democrats now fear mobilizing Republicans to battle the recall could carry over to help the party — and Republican Mitt Romney — in November’s presidential election. For the left-leaning groups that have spent months trying to oust Mr. Walker, a loss would be a deflating end to a process that began with unions and their allies gathering more than 900,000 signatures to force a recall.

From the start, some in the Democratic Party worried that a Wisconsin recall could drain needed resources, fire up the conservative base and ultimately make it more difficult for Mr. Obama to win the state.

Such a delicious irony; by stirring up the Right to save Walker, the Commies may cost Brak the state, and reelection.

The only reason the unions aren't winning is they haven't spent enough money yet.

Spend some more, please, SEIU and teachers unions.

DUMP ROMNEY and replace him with a stellar Dark Horse.

IF Romney is probably going to lose to Obama, THEN it is incumbent upon the RNC to intervene and declare an OPEN Convention, regardless of the Primary delegates that Romney has.

Continued accumulation of Primary delegates in the remaining State Primaries is the key to improving Paul’s chances of forcing the GOP-E to hold an OPEN Convention in Tampa.

Paul will then have completed his main task in this Primary: giving the delegates the freedom to DUMP ROMNEY!

My goal is to defeat the insanity of Keyensian Economics in “both” of our very sorry political parties THIS YEAR!

This can be accomplished by the Delegates choosing a stellar Dark Horse Nominee, such as R-Rep. Allen West of Florida, to slaughter Obama in a November Landslide.

It is not enough to beat Obama, he must be smashed in a huge landslide to repudiate his Marxist ideas for America!

Romney is not Warrior enough to do so.

The key is to FORCE the GOP-E to allow for an OPEN Convention in Tampa. Without an OPEN Convention the SOS of INSANE Federal Over-Spending will keep America on the same crowded track with Greece, and Kalifornia.

There are over 15, 000, 000, 000, 000 reasons why spending more money this year than was taken in during the previous year is an INSANE path to financial destruction.

Neither Obama or Romney have presented a plan to spend our Federal dollars in a non-insane manner.

For example, the GOP Elite have stood in line to endorse Romney, to endorse “The Ryan Budget,” and to compromise-away every opportunity to reduce Federal Spending.

I included the Ryan Budget, because Rep. Paul Ryan himself says that his “Budget” will balance in 30 YEARS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BTW, I added those exclamation points, because both you and I know that Ryan’s budget will NEVER balance, and thus will never be a fact. The exclamation points are just for volume emphasis.

______________________

The main point of my post is as follows: In order to DUMP ROMNEY there must be an OPEN, or “Bartered” Convention.

Ron Paul, Santorum and Newt are our best hopes to achieve an OPEN Convention because they have the most Delegates to force the Romney Delegates to approve of an OPEN Convention.

Since RP is the only active Candidate left standing, he has the best chance of forcing the RNC to have an OPEN Convention in Tampa.

With an OPEN Convention, NONE of the Primary Candidates stand a chance of becoming the Nominee, except Romney.

That possibility must be countered by a stellar Dark Horse, that is someone that has not run in this years Primary Campaign.

Otherwise Romney will follow the same stupid path as McCain and lose to Obama “much to the surprise of the GOP-E.”

Ron Paul, Santorum and Newt were rejected by Primary voters, and would be re-soundly rejected by the voters in the National Election. Thus, their main value is to force an OPEN Convention.

The Convention Delegates then would have a chance to choose a Nominee who could easily defeat Obama.

I had earlier supported R-Sc Sen. Jim DeMint, but he will not leave the Senate. Now I support R-Fla. Rep. Allen West. Rep. Allen West is a retired US Army Colonel, straight-talking Conservative, AND is the only non-welcome member of the Congressional Black Caucus, (the Libs hate him).

There are many other Republican non-RINO Dark Horses who would make excellent Dark Horse Nominees.

The DUMP ROMNEY Campaign requires an OPEN or “Bartered” Convention in Tampa.

Make your voice and vote count towards an OPEN Convention in Tampa, Florida!

BTW, Nominee Allen West WOULD be Florida’s favorite son in November - - - .

I don' think they are going too, unless it is a head fake I heard the quit spending it in WI.

They are probably saving it as they will need it to hold onto seats in the Senate. I think they see the storm that will wash them out to sea for 20 years coming.....

I have my own issues with Romney, but he's looking stronger against Brak every day. Objectively, he's the perfect candidate for a state like Wisconsin, and I can see no plausible scenario under which Brak loses Wisconsin and wins reelection. Actually, that's the point of the article - the Leftie obsession with Scott Walker, and his willingness to take the incoming fire, may wind up costing their Messiah a second term.

Just imagine how that dose of schadenfreude will taste - delicious!

They are reaping the rewards of drawing attention to their unchallenged power for the last 50 yrs. The same is happening with their support of the occupy movement. They have had the occupiers bound around their necks so the more those idiots act up the more of a bitter taste the voters get.In true communist fashion they believe the majority of the people support them....they have fallen for their own propaganda.

This might be your craziest post yet!

We are conservatives and conservatives believe in playing the game according to whatever rules are agreed to before the game begins.

Having a small group of insiders throw out the results of the voting after millions upon millions of dollars and thousands upon thousands of man-hours have been spent is lunacy.

What credibility would any process have if it was just forced on the GOP primary electorate after months of campaigning and voting by millions had already taken place?

Lunacy!

Absolutely.

I am a delegate voter now. Whoever has the delegates to upset Romney (figuratively and literally) I AM FOR, and will vote FOR.

I don’t care who it has to be. I am passionately opposed to Ron Paul on certain issues, but I respect his commitment to never give up, and never give in to the GOPE.

Like Pavlov’s Dogs, we have ALWAYS responded to commands from the Establishment Republicans, and been rewarded with bones that are increasingly bare. Romney is a bare bone, a self proclaimed Progressive.

This is the year to say they have gone one bridge too far, because this is the year that matters. We must say it or resign ourselves to the same old commands reeking of on fear and deprivation.

I will vote my conscience and trust God for the rest. Romney is not a Republican.

As much distaste as I have for Romney, abrogating the primary results would be an even bigger disaster. In 1986, because of Republican crossover votes in the runoff election for Democratic nominee for governor of Alabama, the Democratic party threw out the runoff results and named their candidate. He was the one who lost the runoff.

The backlash was so severe, an utter no-name Republican pounded the Democrat nominee in the general election. Guy Hunt became governor. I went to a little country high school with his daughter. Just saying . . . throwing Romney out will be a sure way to lose the election. Primary voters do not like their votes cancelled by the party elite. If you want Obama out, that would be a really dumb thing to do.

Liberals have expended every ounce of political capital they think they had. The economy sucks and public employees living off the taxpayer see the demise. Unfortunately for them, they now realize that the measures to amp up the regulation nuts drives out manufacturing. It is ramming their ass right where it hurts.

Liberals are very ignorant.
