Many black voters unhappy with Obama over same-sex marriage
South Florida Sun-Sentinel ^ | May 20, 2012 | Anthony Man

At the Neighborhood Unisex Barbershop on Sistrunk Boulevard in northwest Fort Lauderdale, the room fell silent as the president's interview came on TV. At Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Pompano Beach, the pastor turned the midweek Bible study into an open forum on the controversy. At St. John Primitive Baptist Church in Delray Beach, the pastor expressed his concerns.

There seems to be a consistency with this article and recent polling on the issue.

It only has meaning if they take it to the voting booths...

That said, i do believe he may stand to lose 5-10% of the Blacks who voted for him just because he was "Black". Plus, there's no telling how many Dims will keep spouting the public support to "save face" but who will either touch the screen for another or not vote. I can see cracks in the facades of some hard-core lefties I work with.

Obama really doesn’t mind leaving a bad taste in the mouths of the black community. He uses them like a cheap hooker.

“Blacks aren’t going to vote for Romney.”

Correct. Black Christians typically are black before they’re Christian. Race trumps. (How’re they gonna explain that when confronted at the Pearly Gates?)

I would like to see that survey, too. Until then, it really sounds made up.

Can we be honest here?

American Blacks are the most racist people you'll find. Sorry, but they jumped the shark a few years ago. People are sick and tired of being called racists by these people.

They'll never stop sucking the liberal, welfare tit. American Blacks (a majority) want an excuse to not have to try. You'd think they'd be embarrassed. Oops!

To this very day - the most celebrated member of the democrat party is Robert KKK Byrd. No other democrat in history has received more internal party promotions then Robert KKK Byrd. He was even recently third in line to the Presidency as voted internally by his fellow democrats. He was called the ‘conscience of the senate’ by many of his fellow democrats. Robert KKK Byrd is the face of the democrat party today in 2012.

Coincidence?

Now today in 2012 the KKK democrats seek to redefine civil rights and no one even brings up the fact that it is the party of the KKK who is doing this. Is being black equal to being a homosexual? According to democrats it is.

From the article;

By Nov. 6, any erosion of support should be minimal, said Beulah Hill, 64, a Democratic Party activist who lives in the Park Ridge area of Deerfield Beach. "That's not going to deter people from voting for President Obama," she predicted.

African Americans will vote in lock step the Obozo Halfrican. Plain and simple.

More a comment to folks in general...

From Colorado, I wound up in college in the Bronx in the early 60’s. The bars (almost all Irish) on Webster Avenue all had the picture of JFK very, very prominently over the bar. Very Democrat.

Many, many of those people have since moved out of New York and have joined non-ethnic (compared to a big city) America. The total devotion to one man or one ethnic is long gone for them. They outgrew it.

Right now, thinking of DC, the ethnic solidarity in DC and elsewhere is still fairly strong. But enough folks are leaving, for jobs or marriage or whatever and are moving into not-so-black areas. It’s not fast, but it’s happening. At a certain point, solidarity dissipates and people become individuals. I guess with many of the big city black communities that aren’t just poverty/crime sinkholes that this process will be very noticeable in the next 10 years.

This solidarity is not forever.

To black voters, “He’s still black, and you are still going to vote for him because of it, so shut up and do as you’re told.”

My neighbor, who is my best friend at this time, happens to be black. He is highly educated and is a moderate democrat. He has told me that, at this time, that he does not plan to vote, although he voted for Obama last time. The gay marriage issue has him sick, and it makes him sicker when they liken it to the civil right struggle of the 60's.

Now, he might still vote come November, but I think this issue has a great chance of disheartening many black voters. The enthusiasm gap is going to be there, and that is important.

The only way out for Obama, as I can see, is for there to be some new Racial incident, watch it and see..

The hilarious thing with as West pick would be the indignant left would come out and scream about him shooting a gun off near the head of a terrorist.

Most Americans will be supportive of him because he did it to save his men. It is a mild Jack Bower of 24 time behavior. The majority of Americans would see him as a man of action and a hero, but the left won't recognize that. In their bubble, what West did was horrendous. They would play it up, while most people would eat it up.

Beulah Hill, a community activist, came to a rap session on human rights out of curiosity. Hill came because many in her community could not.

******

Lovette Turner, who described herself as conflicted.

Her 19-year-old daughter, who has gay friends, was ecstatic. She said a cousin in his 70s has been in a same-sex relationship for as long as she can remember, and the partner is called “cousin” by the family.

It seems like the color of their skin comes first (and second comes guaranteed government handouts)...

Black Pastor Now Supports Obama

May 16, 2012 60Reverend Emmett Burns, a prominent black pastor in Maryland, made quite the sensation when he was interviewed by CNN in the wake of President Obama’s announcement that he supports same-sex marriage. He promised to neither vote for President Obama nor for Mitt Romney. “I don’t plan on voting for Romney, for sure,” he said on CNN. “Right now, I plan to stay home.”

But in an interview with National Review Online, Reverend Burns says that he changed his mind. “I’m from Mississippi where blacks fought long and hard” for voting rights. “Someone is going to be elected president, and I don’t want it to be Romney. I, for one, support Obama.”

Reverend Burns is a Democratic member of the Maryland House of Delegates, in addition to his responsibilities as pastor for the church he founded. Marriage, he now claims, “is not a make-or-break issue” for him. He still believes that same-sex marriage is “dangerous for the nation,” and that it’s “bad policy.” He envisions the day where “children will be told that homosexuality and heterosexuality are equal.” Traditional marriage, he believes, is still the best policy.

What is really fascinating and sad to me is the correlation of the 2008 election map and "The Black Belt" across the south.

This map mashes the election map with a map on cotton production in the 1800's The black dots represent 2,000 bales of cotton.

The land was really fertile along a band across the south. Plantations formed up along that band, and there was a really large poor black population that is there to this day.

I got this map from http://www.vigorousnorth.com/2008/11/black-belt-how-soil-types-determined.html

The fertile area was caused by an ancient shore line.

Ken Hamblin "the black Avenger" used to have a great radio show. He hated when the left would equate the homosexual agenda to the civil rights movement. He would say, when thing turn ugly, you can pretend to be straight, but you can't pretend not to be black.

So they’re fine with abortion, single-party dissolution of marriage, importing slave-wage laborers to take their jobs, euthanasia, economic fascism, the suspension of religious liberty and opposition to school choice, but they draw the line at same-sex “marriage”? Don’t get me wrong; I’m glad they’re finally on our side on an issue,... but seriously?
