Very true. I remember reading a similarly-themed article in either NR or American Spectator.

Stand up straighter. The jokes won’t go so far over your grape.

Nights On Broadway - Midnight Special 1975

I remember this performance. I was 8! and was bemused by Robin's covering his right ear during solos. Great tune, too.

RIP Robin Gibb...your music taught the world how to dance. I'm playing the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack in your honor.

And I fell out of bed
hurting my head
from things that I said

'Til I finally died
Which started the whole world living
Oh if I'd only seen
That the joke was on me.
RIP Robin.

His contribution to the 80s scene. I think it's one of the better lesser known efforts from that time.

The Bee Gees/Disco Era: The last period of time where people could have anonymous, unprotected sex without the possibility of death (yes, I know about Al Capone)...

I started a joke
Which started the whole world crying
Oh but I didn't see
That the joke was on me...oh no..
And I started to cry
Which started the whole world laughing
Oh if I'd only seen
That the joke was on me

And I looked at the skies
Running my hands
Over my eyes
And I fell out of bed
Cursing my head
For things that I've said

Till I finally died
Which started the whole world living
Oh if I'd only seen
That the joke was on me

And I looked at the skies
Running my hands
Over my eyes
And I fell out of bed
Cursing my head
For things that I've said

Till I finally died
Which started the whole world living
Oh if I'd only seen
That the joke was on me
That the joke was on me.........me.........

"Main Course", of course, is their best album.

Fanny Be Tender

And Donna Summer could sing.

Actually, drug rersistant syphylis had already passed to North America from Asia by that time, and Americans just had no clue about the slow killers that destroy you slowly.

Aides wasn’t hear yet, and drug resistant Gonorhea wasn’t here yet...but things were out there.

Sometimes ignorance is bliss. Until it bites.
