It’s over DG, he is the candidate so put the pipe down and face reality. You are the only person in America that doesn’t realize it. Shame has nothing to do with waking up and facing reality.

So take your little hatefest away and open your eyes to the fact that he will be the nominee after all those states vote for him just like they all are.

Now answer the question, who are you going to vote for Romney or Obama???

And now look, he’s a nasty little snitch, pinging all his friends from the asylum to come over and try to ruin this thread.

I am really looking forward to the re-run of Paul Ryan on Fox News today.

Like there isn’t a Greece economic thread that doesn’t need to be educated on the evils of Romney.

There is a vein of smug contrarianism here. There is nothing you can do to change those opinions. It is almost like debating an obama voter on the economy.

Romney now has an 87% approval rating with GOP voters. So it is clear that nearly everyone is on board ABO train. I have no doubt he will govern like a Maine Senator but I will happily go to the polls in FL to vote the marxist kenyan out of the WH.

That’s great - we’ll look forward to it!

BTW - best of luck in your political endeavors - our country really needs more like you.

Mitt Romney is going to be the GOP nominee. All the remaining Republican candidates minus Ron Paul have now endorsed him. Diogenesis, you fought a good fight, but this war is over. Our candidates lost, and the voters have spoken. We here have been overruled by the voters in the primary process. We need to acknowledge this. The GOPe didn't put Romney in his current place, the primary voters and caucuses representatives did.

First, any alleged conservative quoting the Boston Globe has to be viewed with suspicion.

his own hand-picked Republican successor as governor lost badly to the Democrat, despite the fact that Republicans have held the governorship in Massachusetts since 1990.

There were three elected Reps during that period: Weld, Cellucci, and Romney. How many were conservatives? Do you really think that 18 years of Rep control over the governorship was sustainable in the bluest of blue states?

You failed to respond to my questions about the roles the MA Supreme Court and the overwhelming Dem legislature had in the ruination of MA. How conservative is Scott Brown, the only Rep member of Congress from MA? We all know that Romney is not a conservative, but on the political spectrum he is far to the right of our Marxist in Chief who hates this country and wants to transform it into some sort of socialist utopia.

It’s always sad when historical sites are destroyed.

I guess it’s a miracle that so many of them are still standing in spite of all the war and natural destruction.

The Statue of Liberty has been leveled many times, but only in the movies. I hope nothing ever happens to it in real life.

I am on record of being suspicious of Kristol since 1999. Anyone can look up my posts.

As near as I can determine, he supports whoever he thinks will give him a job or invite him to the White House for advice.

Example: He supported Colin Powell for president for months back in 1999, until it became obvious that Powell wasn’t going to run. Then he switched to McCain. Why didn’t he support Bush?

Because he was Quayle’s chief of staff (which he got by maneuvering the original guy out) and was distrusted by James Baker for being a leaker to the media. They wouldn’t even let him in staff meetings after a while. (Quayle says in his autobiography “Standing Firm” that is was because Baker et al were intimidated by Kristol’s intellect. This is why Dan Quayle needs to stay in Arizona. He BELIEVED the line Kristol fed him.) Kristol also was responsible for the Murphy Brown flap, which I heard him admit to Brit Hume on Fox. So the Bush people wanted nothing to do with Kristol.

After the Florida recount, Kristol suddenly became very pro-Bush. This lasted until the China spy plane incident. After Powell negotiated the release of the crew, Kristol wrote an article called “Our Profound National Humiliation” attacking Powell (whom he had supported, remember) and Bush. And ever after that Kristol would snipe and chip at the Bush people.

I also believe Kristol was responsible for the Jeffords jump which changed the balance in the Senate. Jeffords got the idea that he wasn’t going to get the dairy subsidy and that Bush was going to backstab him. That was never the case and the Bush people to this day can’t figure out why he thought that. Kristol was on Fox with the “big news” of the jump as an exclusive, complete with his possum-like grin. No one supposedly knew that Daschle had been in talks with Jeffords, but somehow Kristol knew, and I am convinced it is because he initiated the entire thing in revenge.

Now, here he is trying to give the democrats good ideas. Why would that be? Because Romney is a sharp business guy who has learned to size people up and there is no way on God’s green earth he is going to give Kristol any sort of power or influence. Plus there are a lot of Bush people on Romney’s team, who know ALL about Kristol.

So in his typical pattern, he would rather engineer a loss for Romney and get some crumbs from Hillary, than stand up for what is good for the country.

Did I mention I despise him?

Hello Bray

There are options other than the Democrat / Republican brands on the ballot in many states this fall.

Please, there is no need to get so pissed off. Mittens is who he is, what he is not is one of us.

Excellant summary on Kristol. In answer to how he ever got where is is? His daddy Irving was a major player. Greased the skids for his termite son. Can’t stand the little creep (a child of Graham and McCain union).

Barring some unforeseen extraordinary event, only one of two men are going to be the next President: Obama or Romney. There is no one else who can possibly win. If you vote for someone else as some kind of a protest vote, you are pissing in the wind because you are in effect voting for Obama.

OK, so tell us what are the “bad” things Romney did and how would you as a CEO done it differently. After you tell us that tell us what experience you have to back your different method and it’s projected by you results.

Just because you dislike Romney as a candidate (I’m not happy with him either), that has no bearing on his success in the financial world which is all documented and includes some great success with the Olympics.

On April 30, 1789 ....our first president, George Washington, was sworn in at Federal Hall, our first seat of government located, interesting enough, on 'Wall Street', Manhattan New York.

On April 23,....... it was announced to the nation that at 9:00 AM the church bells across the nation will ring for a half hour, calling the entire nation come 'to their house of worship' and... ‘To Commit Our New Government to the Most High God’.

“On the morning of the day on which our illustrious President will be invested with his office, the bells will ring at nine o’clock, when the people may go up to the house of God and in a solemn manner ...'commit the new government, with its important train of consequences, to the Holy Protection and Blessing of the Most high'...... An early hour is prudently fixed for this peculiar act of devotion and . . . is designed wholly for prayer.”

The Daily Advertiser, New York, Thursday, April 23, 1789, p. 2

After being sworn-in, George Washington delivered this nation's first “Inaugural Address” to a joint session of Congress.

In it, Washington declared:

“It would be peculiarly improper to omit, in this first official act, my fervent supplications to that Almighty Being who rules over the universe, who presides in the councils of nations, and whose providential aids can supply every human defect.... No people can be bound to acknowledge and adore the Invisible Hand which conducts the affairs of men more than those of the United States.”

As the newly inaugurated President, George Washington's first act as President was to lead on foot, the Vice President and members of the Senate and House of Representatives, proceed to ‘St. Paul’s Chapel’.

It was at St. Paul's Chapel that our nation was dedicated to God. ....Our newly founded Government joined our President, along with the rest of the nation, upon bent knee and in solemn prayer asked for God's favor and blessing upon this nation..... It was at that time that our nation was committed by our leader and the people to God Almighty.

It is at that very moment that the ground with which our nation was dedicated, became hallowed ground.....This ground was from that point on, became a special landmark to our nation and to God.

Washington regularly attended services at St. Paul's during the two years New York City was the country's capital.

God allowed an attack on our soil for the first time on 9/11....Now called ‘Ground Zero” and located just in front of the very church where our first leader, George Washington, dedicated this nation and it's people to God.......Many people do not know is out of the destruction of 9-11, there was only one building that did not suffer any damage........That one building that was not damaged at Ground Zero was St. Paul's Chapel. ....The very same chapel where our nation was dedicated to God.

Some called this attack a “Wake Up Call” to America.... that as a nation we had turned our back on God.......the hedge of protection around our nation was breached.

The only other nation dedicated to God is Israel....and throughout the old testament whenever Israel turned away from God they were infiltrated by an enemy, so too have we. The Protection this country has enjoyed and been blessed with 'looks' to have been removed as the infilitration of those who would do us harm continues...from within and without.

There remains too many Americans..and Congressional Leaders who have gone back to sleep and failed to see we cannot move ahead as a nation without God...otherwise we are currently under His Judgment until we as a nation return to Him.

So lt me understand this. Romney as Governor of MA was not responsible for the 40k jobs created in his final year BECAUSE government ncannot create jobs. Ok I get that and I agree. But then we have to listen to a claim that under Romney his State was 48th in job creation.

So Romney gets NO credit for creating jobs but takes a hit for not creating enough even though we admit the government cannot create jobs.

Really, you guys are twisting yourselves into a pretzel here and make no sense whatsoever.

I am not optimistic about the near future for our nation, regardless of who is elected as President. We have enemies that we have catered to within our country who more than likely at some point will attack again as they did on 9/11...and our Congressional leaders are not helpful in stopping this, too many are compliant and or appease them ' out of fear'...which is running throughout our nation now.

As I see it too many politicians are now all about their seats and holding them far more so than the country..and their decisions are based on that. As well as "the parties" themselves in retaining their power. We have a governance that's completely self serving above that of this nation or it's people.

I also think we'll be seeing far more "rumblings" throughout the worlds nations....there is much unrest now and much of it planned for IMO.

Am very sorry for Italy's loses but I am certain more will come for all nations...and we will not be exempt....sadly so.

I love men and I don’t care who knows it.

I'll second that...except girly men, who need to remember what being a man is about.
