Gingrich to Georgia GOP: Let's rally around Romney
The Florida Times Union ^ | May 19, 2012 | Errin Haines

Newt Gingrich took the stage at the Georgia Republican Party state convention on Saturday wearing a Mitt Romney sticker, focusing his attacks on President Barack Obama and attempting to energize the crowd around his former Republican rival.

"To every conservative, everywhere in America: When your choice on the one hand is Barack Obama, and your choice on the other hand is Mitt Romney, no serious conservative could possibly believe that electing Barack Obama is acceptable ... for America."

Instant poll:

If Romney selected Palin as his running mate, would that bring you on board?

Geron would rather our Soldiers, Sailors, Marines and Airmen answer to an avowed Communist from Kenya for another 4 years. His arrogance in terms of National Security is overshadowed only by his thoughtlessness.

“Gingrich to Georgia GOP: Let’s rally around Romney”

Free Republic to Newt Gingrich: Hell NO!

Relax.

Raving and ranting and calling people glue sniffers doesn’t advance your argument.

Actually nothing would advance your argument because it is devoid of reason.

“Two things:

1. Romney is for repealing Obamacare.

2. Did it occur to you that maybe Gingrich does have the country’s best interest at heart, unlike some of the “cut off your nose to spite your face” types around here, who would rather see Obama get reelected and watch the country destroyed, than to act sensibly.”

Two things:
1. Romney INVENTED Obamacare

2. Did it occur to you that Gingrich is in debt and needs Romney’s money?

Would that make Romney less Romney?

I hope Palin doesn’t come out for Romney. I’d hate to see what some of you would have to say to her.

Oh, wait, she already has. Oh, well. You’ve still got each other.

It’s like saying “let’s give North Korea some Nukes... they’re NOT AS BAD AS IRAN!”

“Sarah would make the pill a whole lot easier to swallow.”

I think she’s had about enough of RINOs at this point.

“Every vote Romney doesn’t get is, in effect, a vote for Obama.”

If I vote for Virgil Goode, that’s a vote for Virgil Goode.
It’s pretty easy to understand.

Look. I was trying to set you up a T-ball pitch. It's a simple question. Why did you not answer it?

If Romney selected Palin as his running mate, would you or would you not, be on board?

The primary seems to be for all intents over now. Many clearly are unhappy with the results, but that does not change the fact it turned out the way it did.

What we (could) conceivably impact, is Romney's decisioning, about his running mate.

FR is not without influence. I say, let's sublimate all this frustration, and try to direct our efforts at influencing the VP selection.

I'll start:

SARAH PALIN

:D

I really could care less about Palin. She hasn’t shown me anything lately to prove that she’s still relevant.

See, my conservative views don’t change based on what other “conservatives” are doing.

“you seem to be going out of your way to anger conservatives.”

Take it up with Newt. I merely posted what he said:

“To every conservative, everywhere in America: When your choice on the one hand is Barack Obama, and your choice on the other hand is Mitt Romney, no serious conservative could possibly believe that electing Barack Obama is acceptable ... for America.”

In that case, what are you accomplishing?

What are you, even attempting to accomplish?

Seriously. What?

Romney will still be a pro-abortion, anti-gun, and big government liberal. Can't vote for one of those.

Oh? This woman will be more perplexed than I am.

Palin just endorsed Ted Cruz here in Texas in his U.S. Senate seat bid, and her nod will almost certainly propel him over a very competitive field.

She's more relevant, influential now than ever.

These are the leaders of the GOP, similar to a Corporation, these are the CEOs, Presidents, vice Presidents, division heads, Managers, and so on, they are career members of the GOP party, it doesn’t surprise me when they endorse their nominee, and get on board.
