Protesters stormed into a university, many of them with their faces covered by masks, and worked through the hallways Wednesday on the hunt for classes to disrupt.
The intrusions were orchestrated by protesters seeking to enforce their declared strikes. They resented the fact that some students had used legal injunctions to return to school.
Theyre trying to make us afraid to go back to class, UQAM law student Celina Toia said after talking to the officers, who were sitting in a van.
Teachers are more than willing to give their classes, so theyre trying to make it extremely inconvenient. Theyre threatening us and theyre creating a hostile environment for us.

[ many of them with their faces covered by masks ]
I thought that wearing a mask like thuis was illegal in Canada, eh?
Maybe they need to pass another law and a send them a strongly worded letter....
Considering that the students are paying for these classes, the material covered in the classes will likley be on the tests, and how well these students do on their tests will in a large part determine their professional careers - I’m frankly shocked that some serious butt-kicking isn’t goin on.
If I was being prevented from taking a tough course, by some jerk in a ski-mask, there would be blood.
These students are committing a LOT of student loan borrowing to miss/disrupt this class room time. Maybe that's why they don't care so much about the missed lecture time.
And, if they are in college for "free", they are committing a LOT of future tax monies to waste on their missing this class time.
Novel concept....
Beat the crap out of a few protesters and perhaps dampen their enthusiasm.....
Comments to the article are 100% against the protestors, with over 1600 comments. Remarkable. Not a single comment in favor of the protestors.
I wasn’t sure what this was about until I read this comment from ‘spyder83’:
Tuition in Quebec is $10,000 for an ENTIRE degree...doctor, arts, science, anything, and that’s before a huge whack of tax credits. You can pay for entire degree by working part time for ~1 year.
What a bunch of “I want everything for free” brats. I hope they get jailed for this national embarassment.
Not to mention they are now even DUMBER because instead of protesting about “right to a cheap education” now they are hindering the education of others....”we want cheap education for all (or really, us) so were going to stop anyone else from learning until we get what we want!”
What the hell are left-wing Canadian students “on strike” for? My understanding is that their colleges are heavily subsidized and tuitions are very low. Or are they just now protesting that they have to learn something and should just be paid for existing?
By the time you figure in the cost of tuition, books, living expenses while in college - I’d wager that the 40 minute lecture costs about $100+ per student.
How would these students react if some masked person were to take their wallet, and remove $100+ and burn it in front of their eyes?
I’ll bet “Julia” is in one of those pictures...
Maybe they need to pass another law and a send them a strongly worded letter....
Perhaps, John “crybaby” BoEYner could help them with the wording?
Oh I forgot, that's right...political correctness demands that we allow special protected minority groups- blacks, hispanics, homos, lesbians, muzzlims, unions, abortionists,OWS, etc., to run rampant & commit all sorts of crimes & vandalism & disruptions. If you rise up and fight against them, YOU will be the first one hauled out in handcuffs while the libturds laugh & mock you for fighting against them. RAT Bastards! Political correctness is killing the western civilization, aided & abetted by socialists/muzzlims.
If those disruptors knew that several adult students in each class were probably legally carrying concealed firearms, I expect their tactics would have been different...
Each student in class should carry a 2 foot section of 4/0 guage insulated copper wire. One swipe across any boney
body part will get their attention. In fact, it’s much easier to smack a leftist than to wire up a panel with it.
Geez, I wish Quebec would finally secede from Canada and become France-Ouest or the 3rd world hell hole that it truly aspires to be.
That's typical of all liberal\democrat\progressive scum.
The problen with that is, if you stick a pen or pencil more than 6 inches deep into an eye or ear, they won’t leave.
They just lie around doing nothing.

At Ohio State tuition is a pretty low 10k a year or so. But just living costs about 15,000 a year and that is the problem.
I think Montreal is a very expensive city to live in, so my guess is they want free room and board too.
FYI, if your parents make less than 60,000 a year, you would get free tuition, books and room and board at Stanford or Harvard.
I guess they are looking for that kind of deal.
They are the useful idiot blackshirts working for organized Communists, whether they realize it or not.
The goal is not to establish a sustainable system. The goal is to upend academia and Western society.
I think we went to the same school lol!
They would have been right at home in the Khmer Rouge.
“...send them a strongly worded letter....”
Yeah, at 3,150 fps...
I am soooooo ready for a major ass-whooping contest with these degenerate types and badass m-fer's like me. I'm tired of load mouthed punks making good decent peoples' lives miserable. It's time, in my opinion, to inflict some serious misery on them.
And that changes their normal behavior how exactly?
The budding terrorists are being encouraged by the cowardice of the Quebec government, which is appeasing the protesters by considering concessions on the announced tuition increase. This is just making the protesters more bold and more demanding. Keep in mind that the ability of the Quebec government to provide the highest level of tuition subsidies in Canada comes from massive transfer payments stolen from the wealthier provinces (via the Federal government) and “redistributed” to the poor provinces and deficit financing. The government was finally starting to realize that the deficit route could not be sustained. But now they are cowering under their desks. Quebec is filled with Eurotrash wannabes.
If the police stand aside while anarchists break car and store windows, they should stand aside when bats are swung back at anarchist heads. A few busted heads would calm down the OWS idiots pretty quickly.
Don’t mess with WWWTT! Rock on,
That's not enough for these leaches.
I thought it was yanks who were supposed to be violent, and Canadians believed in peacefully talking out differences.
That was my thinking as well. We really didn't see any more campus riots after Kent State.
“Each student in class should carry a 2 foot section of 4/0 guage insulated copper wire.”
I have an 18” hunk of underground cable about 1 1/4” in diameter that I saved. It has 16 small copper wires under the outer jacket and a 1/0 Aluminum conductor in the center, all molded together with stiff LLDPE Polyethylene. It won’t bounce like a nightstick. Thunk.
Thank you for your and your son’s sacrifice for us. God Bless you and may Eternal Light shine upon him!
The problem is most of these kids are playing with some one else’s money. They aren’t invested as much in the education. I paid every dime for my degree through working while in college. If someone had disrupted my class I would have put up with it for a short while then probably kicked their ass if it got to be too much. But these kids raised on Xbox and going on loans and daddy’s money. Not so much unfortunately.
Students on strike??
lol
