In a shocking interview yesterday on the Sean Hannity Radio Show, author Ed Klein said Barack Obama’s former pastor helped Obama accept Christianity without having to renounce Islam. The Daily Caller reported:
Klein also said Wright told him he “made it comfortable” for Obama to accept Christianity without having renounce his “Islamic background,” which Klein said he has on tape.

Klein says Obama originally sought out Wright to discuss community activism.
“Quickly the conversations turned from picking up garbage on the street and getting streetlights put up on street corners to political matters and religious matters,” Klein says. “And the Rev. Wright turned into really a substitute father figure, who guided Obama in the two major areas of his life.”
The first area was Obama’s identity — just who was he?
“Obama was steeped in Islam but knew nothing about Christianity,” Klein says.
Klein asked Wright if he converted Obama from being a Muslim into a Christian.
“He said, I don’t know about that. but I can tell you that I made it easy for him to come to an understanding of who Jesus Christ is and not feel that he was turning his back on his Islamic friends and his Islamic traditions and his understanding of Islam,” Klein says.
The second area was Obama’s political philosophy. Wright introduced Obama to Black Liberation theology.

Of course, no on can be a muslim and be a real Christian. obama always was—and is—a muslim, and he is no Christian at all.
PHOOEY to all those who have said over the past several years that anyone who says “obama is a muslim” is crazy, a conspiracy theorist, a racist, or all three!!!! Wright confirms that we’ve been right all along—obama is a muslim!!!!
Which means he never really did accept Christianity. No surprise, there.

I seem to recall that Wright’s original Religion degree centered on Islam as he worked his way into his ministerial position so this whole thing sounds very real.
His Chicago church was just “shrubbery in the suburbs” — everyone has something out front to make the house look nice.

I don’t know about the Islam. I just know he was a hard-left proponent of Black Activism and theology. The only thing I can find about his being a muslim is a reference from Free Republic.

As much as Jerry mouths off, it’s something of a wonder that he hasn’t wound up in a car trunk in a long-term lot at O’Hare with holes in the back of his head.
Well, that tells one all that is necessary about Wright’s theology..... I’ve never heard anyone who I considered to be a true Christian who WOULDN’T have answered that question with a very quick “let me tell you that it is only the individual himself or herself who can convert to being a follower of Jesus Christ . Someone else can help to show the way but that is all.....” John 6:44 “No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.”
That’s what they do, that’s why they can bring calypso louie in to preach and they all lick it up with a spoon.
Because there’s no substantial difference between Islam and Black Nationalism.
