May 15, 2012 9:44am 1 Comment Obama campaign: New York Times poll is 'biased' byCharlie Spiering Commentary Staff Writer Share on emailShare on printFollow on Twitter: Obama campaign deputy manager Stephanie Cutter dismissed today's CBS/New York Times poll showing that 67 percent of people believed Obama made his decision on gay marriage for political reasons. Only 24 percent said that Obama did it “mostly because he thinks it is right.”

Host Chuck Todd asked Cutter about the poll, admitting that the methodology of the poll was different, because it was a callback poll. "Put those caveats aside thats a lot of people saying that he did this for political reasons," Todd said, noting that it was a 3-1 margin.

"We can't put the methodology of that poll aside, because the methodology was significantly biased." Cutter insisted on MSNBC this morning.

When pressed by Todd, Cutter said that she didn't want to bore the viewers with talk of methodology, but repeated that she believed the poll was flawed.

"Obama campaign: New York Times poll is 'biased'"

Well, we've realized that for years! The Obama campaign has only discovered it now?

Too complicated for the peons, huh?

You know it's bad when the Times can even make a poll look good.

“When pressed by Todd, Cutter said that she didn’t want to bore the viewers with talk of methodology, but repeated that she believed the poll was flawed.”

In other words, Todd won the argument.

Did he ask how Rasmussen's polling and Gallup's polling is "flawed", too?

Maybe, just maybe, the voting public is beginning to realize what an empty suit this guy is.

The dead seldom call back so I have to agree because that voting bloc is completely shut out of this poll.

They’re right. It IS biased. It sampled 36% Dems to only 30% Republicans. The 2012 margin will be much tighter than that.

Well, I’m sure it’s possible to be in favor of homosexual marriage, and still think that Obama did this for political reasons.

You can be liberal, but still recognize that Obama does things for political reasons.

Or are we saying that liberals such as Obama only do things and take stances on issues, because they see their positions as lifting up oppressed people, giving people rights and justice and all that?

I’d listen to those boring details from her, if there was a bonus at the end of it for me.

It doesn’t look like Stephanie can keep a ‘job’....

worked for Bill Clinton as Deputy Communications Director at the White House

Associate Administrator for Communications at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency

July 2003 was named Communications Director for the Democratic National Committee

November 2003, she was named communications director for the John Kerry campaign

served as Communications Director for Senator Edward M. Kennedy

June 2008 she was appointed as chief of staff to Michelle Obama

She served as Timothy Geithner’s counselor

as adviser to President Obama in the Supreme Court nominations

charged with managing the communications and outreach strategy for the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act

In 2011, Cutter was named Deputy Senior Advisor to President Barack Obama

In September 2011, the White House announced Cutter would leave her position as Deputy Senior Advisor to serve as deputy campaign manager for Obama for America

It sure WAS biased.

If it was done truthfully, Obama would have been down another 10 points!

Satan is getting these souls at bargain basement prices, nowadays. It's a pity people don't place more value on their afterlife.

Yeah right

Obama got this out early to shore up his base knowing that by November the public would care less if they even remember it

it was the most transparently cynical thing we’ve seen since Bill Clinton’s finger-wagging glory days.

Stephanie Cutter: The White House Fixer

Part communicator, part strategist, and always unflappably loyal, Cutter is often called “the one-woman SWAT team” in the White House. Since the administration last spring “coaxed her into coming back,” as senior Obama adviser David Axelrod puts it, her projects have included explaining health-care legislation to the public, and handling veterans’ issues in the pullout from Iraq. (Her earlier gig was as spokesperson for embattled treasury secretary Tim Geithner.) “When you have an important assignment, she’s the first person you think of,” says Axelrod, who speaks with her daily. “She handles everything with such competence and a minimum of fuss.”

Cutter cut her chops in the Clinton White House, while also picking up a law degree from Georgetown at night. But she made her name working for Ted Kennedy. “My uncle thought the world of her,” says Caroline Kennedy, who calls Cutter “a really good friend, who really cares” as well as one she, too, relies on for counsel. “She can figure out the consequences of any action right at the beginning. She also inspires a lot of trust; you feel she’ll be on your side the whole way.”

“My philosophy,” Cutter says, “is if you’re going to work 24 hours a day, seven days a week, for not a whole lot of money, why work for someone you’re not gonna be loyal to?”

Most unsung accomplishment: She’s the person the Obama campaign turned to when Michelle Obama found herself in treacherous image waters after, for example, she said that the voters’ embrace of her husband was making her “proud” of her country “for the first time in my life.” Predictably, Cutter doesn’t want to take credit for Mrs. Obama’s turn-around. “It around. “It was really just allowing Michelle to be herself. And allowing people to see the real Michelle.”

What she could be doing instead: When Obama right-hand man David Axelrod wooed her back to the White House, she had taken time off from the political-animal industry to teach at Harvard and start her own (very lucrative) communications consulting business. “She always has held out the option of going back,” Axelrod, “but the fact is, Stephanie has always been about public service. She loves it, that’s where her heart is. I’m hoping that she’ll follow her heart and stay with us.”

Her first job in politics: Working on the Dukakis campaign as an intern. (First paid job: Working for Mario Cuomo.)

All this biased polling won’t help the Usurper. Better his cultish supporters think he and his policies are comfortably in the lead than otherwise.

The Ramirez cartoon today...

Obama dressed as a hooker under a street lamp.
Limo pulled up next to him with “Hollywood liberal elite” on the license plate.
Obama saying “Yeah, I can do gay marriage, fro $15 million”.
