“They caught the wrong Sheriff on this matter.”
Those seven words should have sent the message loud and clear to the Obama administration that they are in for a tough, and potentially embarrassing fight against "America's Toughest Sheriff" Joe Arpaio.
Arpaio, who has become the nation's most prominent symbol in the fight against illegal immigration, appeared on the Mike Broomhead show on KFYI in his first interview since being officially served with a suit by the Obama administration’s Justice Department.

Arpaio was, predictably, entirely un-intimidated, condescendingly remarking that “it’s a political year” as his explanation for why the administration was choosing to target him at this particular moment. Later, Arpaio crowed, “Take me to Court! I love going to Court!”
Broomhead noted that even Joe’s detractors were asking for proof of the accusations against him. Arpaio responded that nothing had come out because there was no proof.
“It’s the election year. Go after the Sheriff. All these local activists have been ganging up with the ACLU and the Justice Department hoping that I’ll resign,” Arpaio scoffed. “But I’m not going to resign.”Arpaio brushed off accusations about his methods, saying his opponents just didn’t like that he was doing a good job enforcing the illegal immigration laws. “They don’t like it. They don‘t like this high profile Sheriff that’s not gonna back down,” he said.“They can do all they want with all those demonstrators calling me a Nazi, Hitler, every name in the book, they’re worried because I say one word, and they go crazy,” he said. “It’s all a game plan to get rid of this Sheriff.”
And based on the rest of the interview, Arpaio can be trusted to stick to his word on that. From sneering about the “beer summit” to offering to take on President Obama on the basketball court, Arpaio showed complete, unflappable calm. This fight is not likely to go well for the White House.
Way to go, Joe!

Holder does not chase cars unless Obama tells him to chase that car. That is the reason that Obama has not thrown Holder under the bus in relationship to the Justice Department and the ATF illegally running guns to the Drug Cartels in Mexico.
If Holder is thrown under the bus, he will take Obama with him.
If I were Holder, I would look at the last flight Ron Brown took. It was not a precision approach but a simple ADF and not that tough for pilots with 1000s of hours of flight time.

I fear this is going to be nothing more dignified than one grand mud slinging fest for Obama/Holder. If there was anything actually wrong with Sheriff Joe’s operation, it’s going to get lost in the noise. Lately it seems Obama can’t do anything right, even if wrong.
He's going to need a lot more than a food taster. I'd suggest that we all keep Sheriff Joe in our prayers. He is going up an army of the worst criminals ever assembled on this planet.
He certainly has my prayers.

Obama and Holder are losers here. Arpaio is so well liked he is a folk hero. They can only lose.

My worry is that he's going to walk into a legal ambush/setup - not where he gets shot but where the scene is prepared by professionals to look like he did something wrong.
He’s a sheriff. Wouldn’t it be better if he were the head of Justice? Our country is desperately in need of Holder’s losing his job, and Sheriff Joe would make a perfect replacement.
We would have his brand of upholding the law for everybody, not just for “his people,” and maybe a whole lot of the horribly destructive people could be swept away from the levers and switches of power.
