Obama’s War on Bald Eagles
The Washington Free Beacon ^ | May 14, 2012 | The Washinton Free Beacon Staff

Obama administration proposes loosening rules against 'programmatic' killing of bald eagles.

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife service is proposing to loosen regulations prohibiting the killing of bald eagles for the benefit of renewable energy companies.

The Heritage Foundation’s blog “The Foundry” reports on the latest instance of the Obama administration’s war on wildlife:

A draft regulation first filed in April would allow businesses to apply for 30-year permits allowing them to kill bald eagles in the course of other legal activities. The length of those permits would be a six-fold increase over the five-year window allowed under current law.

The USFWS explains at FederalRegister.gov: “We have reviewed applications from proponents of renewable energy projects, such as wind and solar power facilities, for programmatic permits to authorize eagle take that may result from both the construction and ongoing operations of renewable energy projects. During our review, it became evident that the 5-year term limit imposed by the 2009 regulations (see 50 CFR 22.26(h)) needed to be extended to better correspond to the timeframe of renewable energy projects.”

The Free Beacon’s Andrew Stiles previously reported on how the Obama Administration’s “mean green killing machines” are decapitating golden eagles, threatening hundreds of baby tortoises, and disrupting protected kit fox populations in California.

Bird enthusiasts are also calling on the Obama administration to repeal an obscure mining regulation that is resulting in the deaths of a million or more songbirds a year.

ongoing operations of renewable energy projects

Does gunpowder qualify as a "renewable energy" resource?

Of course he hates bald eagles. They refuse to dye their feathers, for fear of having anything black above them, just like Newt Gingrich and Barbara Bush refused to dye their hair. Anyone who shows white on their head is a racist if they’re in the public eye. Bald eagles should have known better. They’re a national symbol, and yet they won’t dye their feathers. For their racism, they deserve to have hunters take shots at them.

Obama signs Executive Order retiring the Bald Eagle as America's National Emblem. The Crow will be its replacement. Here we see the crow feeding on the garbage coming out of the White House.

Our National Bird? Symbol of our country?

Hell, I'm surprised Obama hasn't ordered the military to find and slaughter every last one.

I'm equally surprised Obama hasn't replaced the Star Spangled Banner with the Internationale.

Amazing what a liberal will sacrifice for their agenda.

If an oil company or any other industry without a “green” in front of the name killed any, they would be crucified like they already have been.

This is a ritual sacrifice of our national symbol on the pagan altar of green energy fanaticism. Where are the environmentalists on all this?

So getting oil on a bird is bad but killing a bald eagle with a windmill is OK. Got it.

Scariest enviroment imaginable.

That’s all you had to say.

If you’d like to be on or off this Outdoors/Rural/wildlife/hunting/hiking/backpacking/National Parks/animals list please FR mail me. And ping me is you see articles of interest.

I've no way of checking it, but I've been told that killing flying critters is a much bigger problem if you're putting windmills up on public rather than private land. In fact that the process in general is quicker on public land. There being no private landowner/developer to go after?
