CBS News reported Friday that President Barack Obama held a fundraiser in Los Angeles at the home of movie actor George Clooney Thursday, and raised about $15 million.
Yet the most troubling part of the report was the following words, "The star of the evening, the president, arrived at LAX in his private jet, Air Force One."
The mainstream media had better get this straight -- Air Force One is not the "private jet" of the president, period. We are supposed to live in a country where presidents don't conduct themselves like kings, and the establishment media enables this "king" mentality with such reporting. Continued references like this are a big turn off to voters, especially to those who are struggling. And the president needs to also keep that in mind because he's had an issue about what is his and isn't this week.
If Air Force One belongs to Obama, why do taxpayers pay the brunt of the $179,750 per hour for the operating costs of this plane, per Defense Department calculations as reported by WSOC-TV? Individuals or corporations who own private jets pay all of the operating costs. By CBS News' logic, Obama should be paying all of these costs. On his presidential salary of $400,000 per year, that wouldn't be enough to run the plane three hours.
As for the president himself, when he came out for same sex marriage earlier this week, he made an interesting reference to the military during his interview with ABC, remarking, "those soldiers or airmen or Marines or sailors who are out there fighting on my behalf," as reported by The Weekly Standard.

Correction, it is only AF One when the POTUS is aboard. It is designated AF Two for the VP.
While Patton deserves some accolades, he was also involved in using military force on Americans on American soil. Perhaps the military use against the Bonus Marchers was just an early preview of what's to come....

Since Congress has the sole power to declare war, why does the military require a Commander-in-Chief unless there is a war to prosecute?
I’m not sure it’s correct for the President to micro-manage the military around the clock, even in peacetime, and treat all military assets as his own property. Congress sets military funding and rules for the militia, which sounds like they have custodial authority during peacetime.
Any Constitutional scholars out there able to clarify that fine point? Without a war endorsed by Congress, does (or should) the Commander have anything to command? Or should the military be left to the generals and admirals until they are needed?

My point is where the heck did Obama or anyone else get the idea Air Force One is ‘’his’’ jet and there ISN”T anything in The Constitution about what mode of travel is required for a president.
I doubt I could find the thread of zero commandeering AF1 to buzz guests over Manhattan, but it was gut-ripping funny.
I lied, I found it.
Looking at that picture and the fear that it caused everyone who saw it, I believe it was a signal.
A blatant slap in the face to Americans- this was done to cause fear and duress and was an ‘I will give my fellow muslims what they want’ signal.
He had to show muslims that he will destroy American from within, without planes, but if he wanted to use them, he now has the power and he can.
obama acts as if the assets of our country are his personal belongings. Explains his actions.

Some dictator over there spent a huge pile of his country’s stash on a Maybach automobile for himself.
Now why would he have the same mindset of an African dictator?
