Pelosi: Gay marriage more important than elections
The Washington Examiner ^ | May 10, 2012 | Joel Gehrke

Posted on 05/10/2012 1:35:27 PM PDT by Free ThinkerNY

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., indicated that President Obama's support for gay marriage is worth any electoral reversals that Democratic Party might sustain as a result.

"The statement that the president made was something that was the right thing to do for the country; it filled my heart with joy," Pelosi told reporters today. "We come here to do a job for the American people, not to hold a job . . . It's more important than any political consequences."

"Her favorite word is ‘The Word”, doncha know."

I remember that...cause I couldn't imagine even her saying that.

Her favorite word...The Word.

Please, Nancy, who is writing your material?

“I can live with that. O’s “support” does not make it legal anywhere and since you are expecting major defeats for it, then I thank the moron-in-chief for making 2012 a cakewalk.”

Isn't it a State's issue - approval of gay marriage?

Can he even do anything at all? Will he blame States who don't go along with his “personal feelings and that he did all he could but the cold Republicans blocked his magnanimous beliefs.

“They are going to try to spin the meme that it was Obama support for homosexuality that tanked his re-election when actually it’s his dismal economy and foreign policy.”

Interesting theory...I think you are on to something, a fool in paradise.

>Isn’t she a practicing catholic?

I’d say she isn’t. I think she claims to be one tho.

She is maybe fit to hand wash all the fudge stained sheets from all the celebrating poofters after their leader’s blessing yesterday.

“Indeed, gay “marriage” IS more important than elections to them”

You know, some of these gay “marriages” don't work out and a “divorce” is worked out and they find they are like any real couple:

Alimony. Child support. Child custody. Ask Rosie.

Be careful of what you want, you might get it. It might turn out to be more of a problem than you could ever imagine.

A civil deal might be the better situation, in the long run.

And, the children suffer. Think about that, homosexuals.

In 2004, the first 10 minutes after the polls closed all of the networks were proclaiming a victory for Kerry and saying that Bush was a one term president like his father and both of them were run out of office because it’s the economy, stupid.

That meme had to be junked when across the nation more votes came pouring in for Bush.

This whole thing was calculated on Obama and the dems part. What is everyone talking about now
The economy or Obamas record No Gay marriage. Now I see a story that Rommney bullied a supposed gay student 50 years ago. This is just another diversion

It’s not about marriage. It’s about mainstreaming and institutionalizing their lifestyle. They want your children to be taught in school at the youngest ages that under the law they can marry either a man or a woman, whichever one they want. Legalization is the society saying they approve of and endorse the act. It causes a ripple effect that permeates every aspect of life. So when your little Johnny starts holding little Billy’s hand as he walks home from school, gives him a kiss good-bye and sends him Valentine’s cards, you’ll know where he learned it and why. Just imagine if the first thing you ever learned about marriage was that it’s the pairing of any two people, regardless of gender. I can only imagine how confused this would make and what an influence this would have on people who are pre-pubescent and don’t even understand sexual feelings yet.

Hope she’s sayin’ that to her priest in the confessional and he’s telling her to forget taking the Eucharist.

That’s assuming she still practices Catholicism and not voodoo.

There must really be an Extinction Level Event coming in December, as the Mayans predicted. The government knows about it and they are ready to get to their bunkers.

How else can you explain these assholes (Biden, Obama, Reid, Pelosi) acting this way in an election year?

The tone of Pelosi’s comments suggests to me that she is already making excuses for an Obama defeat.

Good point! She is good at anticipating trouble.

Well, Pelosi sure wrecked the 2010 elections for the Democrats by pushing her radical left-wing social agenda. Based on her track record, I think I believe her when she says promoting “gay rights” is more important than winning elections.

Pelosi and Biden are the most pathetic CLOWNS in the entire world. Hope they enjoy that distinction. Obama is the third, but he doesn’t claim to be a member of the Church. CLOWNS.

All those consequences that you listed are actually a “positive” in furthering the agenda of family destruction,

so those consequences wouldn’t deter the left one single bit.

Do they still ex-communicate members in the catholic church

I’m not sure. But, she goes against the basic teachings of the Church.

Where is her priest? Where is her Bishop? Is the Pope listening to what this so called “devout Catholic” is saying? Can you say excommunication?

Don't hold your breath. The Catholic "church" is complicit.

Jesus will have to spew it out of his mouth and raise up a church from the stones, just as he told the pharisees.

A Romney win affirms rank liberalism as the new "conservatism," lowering the bar for the next and succeeding elections.

A bitter pill today for health tomorrow is far vision, not the near-sightedness of "anyone but Obama" (would this include Satan?)

Hey, I agree with Nutsy Pelosi! If obamas support for homosexual ersatz marriage gets some dems tossed, I am for it too.

It’s like when Jocelyn Elders was canned. The meme was that she was fired over her talk of taking sex positive teaching to kids and encouraging them to masturbate.

I also heard from friends who were in medical school at the time that she was as dumb as a box of hammers.

>How else can you explain these assholes (Biden, Obama, Reid, Pelosi) acting this way in an election year?

I explain it in this manner: there is no real difference between Obama and Romny, just as there is no real difference between the Republican- and Democrat-party.

The Republicans CLAIM to be the opposition party; but how much opposition have they given? Consider Fast and furious, which is a slam-dunk of a case: an agency committing unauthorized acts of war against another nation. Or Obamacare, patently contraconstitutional. Or, even the eligibility issue and the all-branches of government refusal to even investigate. Those are just during this administration.

The lack of opposition goes back even further. When was the last time that a government agency was dissolved? (No, renamings and ‘restructuring’ to be a part of another agency don’t count.) When was the last time the Republican Party pushed for an overturning of Roe v. Wade? Not in my political lifetime.
