Who are the tea party candidates state by state in both the Federal House and Senate races?

Posted on 05/09/2012 3:30:19 PM PDT by superfries

I thought someone did this back for the 2010 election but I have not seen anything related to the 2012 election cycle. I would be willing to help get this going. As I see it, if we are not capturing this info and then vetting these folks ourselves then we have no one to blame but ourselves. For example Pam Bondi and Connie Mack out of FLA had tea party support and even SP endorsed them in their races but they are far from the pure tea party conservatives we want to see elected right? If you are interested or know of an easy way to kick this off please Freep mail me. If this is already happening and I am just not seeing it please point me to it so I can participate!

So I am from Texas but it looks like we have a AZ election thread going:) What about the state senate and house and AG and other races.....any input on these? Do you guys think this is something we should do in the main forum on on the individual state msg forums?

Do you know anyone on your state forum that has any insight into the AZ Tea Party that could give us a statewide seat/race breakdown?
I don’t want to recreate the wheel here.....work smarter not hard right?

Hey Jim you suggested this so I started it. Do we have a list of freepers that we think would like to do something like this and does it serve us better to put these on the state forums or do you think we should do this out in the open on the main forum?

Congratulations for the most important thread of the year.

Conservative/Tea Party Representatives can very likely win control of the House this year.

Thanks for the kind words.....how do we do this....is this single thread the way to go? Or do we push this to the state forums only? I almost think we need to nominate folks by state to run these threads in the state forums? Out here in the main forum the thread gets a lot of input but it is from all states.

The above link may provide some good contacts for each state and the various Tea Party Groups within that state. Click on each state to go to the web site listing the contacts. Good luck.

deport, very nice....thanks for bringing something to the party! This stuff is great......do you discuss this type of stuff on the Texas only forum? Is there someone you would consider to be an informal leader of that group? Do you think it best to push these threads int e main forum or keep them on the state forums?

What I offer toward discussion of how to do this:
Right NOW the goal should be to help Tea Party (and I would add conservative- even ones who don’t fully meet Tea Party qualifications) candidates in the Democrat and Republican primaries.
Helping them in the general elections would come later.

For the primaries a hundred bucks even, or a dozen hour’s work, could make a huge impact on a good candidate’s chances.

I suggest a ‘reference thread’- like this one- and individual threads linked to and from this thread.

I suggest the vetting be done on the individual threads so this thread is kept clear of virulence.

Poster’s of the individual candidate threads should make announcements on their state boards, I’ve seen several posters forget to do that.
