Wasserman Schultz helps Obama reach LGBT voters

Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz -- who is helping President Obama reach out to the gay/lesbian/bisexual/transgender community -- will keynote a White House LGBT Conference on Aging in Miami on Monday.

The Weston Democrat and several administration officials will give participants “important updates” on their efforts to help LGBT Americans.

Wasserman Schultz, a long-time advocate of gay rights, was on hand last month when Obama dropped by a LGBT fundraiser in Hollywood. The president didn’t address the gathering but greeted participants and posed for pictures.

But Obama and his spokeskid Mr. Claire Shipman says his position on gay marriage is evolving. Riiiight.

I think she is intending to help the “GLBT’s” not the “LGBT’s”. Makes a much easier acronym of the cause just to call them “Gilberts”. (No offense to anyone named Gilbert intended so my apologies in advance.) Of course she most likely couldn’t remember what the acronym stood for after a few minutes. Have you ever listened (I know it ain’t easy) to this woman speak? Kind of makes you wonder about the intelligence of her constituents. Well, not really.

Obama has never had a problem with the homosexual community. They have been a mainstay of his core supporters from the beginning.
