The Constitution has been getting ignored for a century now. I think it started with the Civil war, and most surely the “Federal Reserve” in 1913.
I first noticed it in my lifetime when they set a national 55 mph speed limit (55 saves lives...)
The Fedgov did not have the constitutional authority to pass that law, so they withheld Federal highway funds from states that did not comply. I call that blackmail.
You are right. Federal money always comes with strings attached whether it is highway money or education money or health care money.
I’m sure that any true Constitutional scholar would understand that the Constitution was written with a purpose of not letting the Fedgov use funds to usurp state’s rights or people’s rights as well.
What do I know anyway. My grandfather and father went overseas to fight tyranny with cartridge boxes, while today I see the ballot boxes as an epic failure to prevent it here.
In the election before last, I stood in line for an hour and was told I could not vote. Motor voter had worked for me before. I called the fraud hotline because their is no race pimp machine to march for my disenfranchised white self.
I was supposed to be given a provisional ballot, and the election workers failed to provide it.
I had moved again before the last election, and the same thing happened, but I was prepared (sort of). I asked for a provisional ballet, and the poll worker told me that my vote would not be counted, it was just to make me feel better about voting.
The Going On Progressive party is just forcing establishment hacks on us anyway, so why bother? I might as well stay home and get involved in an authentic activity like watching “pro” wrestling.
